Every day meetings are being cancelled and for that reason, I'm not going anywhere near that Southwell jumps meetings tomorrow as it will be a waste of time. The amount of rain they are expecting will 100% make it abandoned, so that leaves us with two AW flat meetings, which doesn't get my juices flowing.
Wolverhampton 7:00 – Talis Evolvere 3/1 (1pt, Bet365)
This actually isn't that bad of a race for AW meeting on a Tuesday, and you can get some decent odds, with the favourite currently being priced as 3/1. The favourite is the horse I do like, and I did like that run last time out by Talis Evolvere.
It is very clear that Talis Evolvere needs further than the 7f he raced over last time out at Wolverhampton as he was a bit outpaced but did stay on nicely in the final furlong when finishing as runner-up to a decently handicapped winner who produced an RPR of +11 to his official rating. Richard Hannon has opted for Rossa Ryan in the saddle this time over the 5lb claimer Alec Voikhansky, which will make life more difficult on paper as he will be running off his normal rating rather than having the 5lb claim taken off, but with that comes the quality that Rossa has and the experience and strength in the saddle, which I'd swap every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.
I think Rossa will take a different approach to how the young apprentice rode this horse last time out as he was rousted along early to get an early lead, but was headed within 1.5F, but that would've used a decent amount of petrol up in the early stages, which wouldn't have been ideal. He is drawn in stall 7, so slightly wider than last time, so I'd imagine he'll sit in the middle of the pack and then pull him wide/down the rail when challenging rather than be on the pace.
There is still more improvement to come from this horse who has only had five career starts, which has seen him win once and be in the places twice. I think he has always been a horse that the Hannon yard has felt like there is potential with as he was backed into 11/10F on his second start on the back of a 319-day absence in June, he was positioned awfully, miles off the pace but finished off with a proper rattle, that was over 7f and that was another reason to believe that 7f last time out was the wrong trip, especially when his sole win has come at Pontefract over 1m, which is a very stiff track.

Rizzle ( or anyone else) do you follow much of the Irish racing ? There’s big confidence coming from Jane Chappel Hyams yard for their runner at Dundalk tomorrow. Some good money already down. I’ve got on at 5/2 but I’d put a few more pennies on if I had a bit more info on the Irish runners especially the current fav ( expect them to flip flop overnight I was told). I barely have time to watch all our racing never mind over there. Cheers in advance if anyone replies. I’ll check back in the morning if anyone has chipped in with anything.

Just looking at stats there she’s only had the 1 runner in Ireland in the last 5 seasons. Only for a 13 k pot as well. Was shocked when I got told she was sending this over. Been waiting all day for prices. 5/2 was the very best and it probably lasted minutes. Lots of 9/4 available but it’s all gone now.
She’s had seven 2 year old runners this season with 4 winners at 57% rate. 4th in the Horris Hill last month only beaten 2 lengths. This Ger Lyons runner hasn’t raced for 3 month whether that’s a negative or not obviously not sure. Good luck everyone tomorrow whatever your all on!
If I’m honest I try and avoid Dundalk as there are normally huge fields and during the jumps season that type of racing takes my priority.

Not much in themselves BUT few valuable Allowance races with some young horses back out I like. Sometimes yield to the experts instead of trying to pick holes in there selections as really just 2 from myself with one well touted that I wouldn’t claim is my own but it would have been in Johns Rock.

Nursing the tail end of the Flu away here but on the mend and basically slept last 24 hours so I’ll be watching racing at Mountaineer which is available on TVG if you have US channels and the guys on there give some good pointers. Or just “phone it in” 👀
