Saturday was a total bloodbath, but a lot of the jockeys on my selections are partially to blame. John Egan, an experienced jockey went off like he was a on 5f horse in a 7f race on Chasseral. Adam Farragher thought he was riding Frankel on Tafreej, and Mia Nicholls got unlucky with Accidental Agent when running into the back of several horses when the horse was getting into top stride, and for me, he would've gone very close at huge odds of landing the Bunbury Cup.
The other selections were very poor, no excuses, they just didn't perform how I expected, especially Azure Blue who didn't look like the same horse as last time out for one reason or another, but she was keen in the early stages which didn't help.
Chantilly 3:25 – Immensitude 11/4 (2pt Bet365)
Sunday is terrible for racing, with no flat racing taking part in the UK or Ireland, which seems a bit weird in the middle of the season, so you're either betting on jumps racing or heading over to France to Chantilly for some Group racing, and I've opted for the latter.
On my first look I thought the English raider Araminta would be a decent bet in this race, but the more I looked through the form of the French horses and watched the replays, I couldn't get Immensitude off my mind. This filly showed a different level of form from what we've seen before at Longchamp last time out in a Listed race. She was held up in last place all race, but when Alexis Pouchin asked her some questions, she picked up very nicely down the outside and breezed past the field, recording an RPR of 107 in the process of her 4.5L success. That was clearly unexpected, as she had been running to RPRs of 77- 80 for her first three runs and she won at odds of 41/1, so there's always that doubt that it might've been a fluke, but to my eyes, she just looked an improved horse for some reason, which might've been the slightly quicker ground she encountered, which was Good to soft instead of the very soft she had run on before.
If the drier ground was in her favour then we're in luck as the weather forecast for Chantilly is looking dry from now till the time of racing, so she should be okay. Alexis Pouchin gets the ride again, which is a positive and though her hold up style isn't ideal, if she puts in a similar run to last time out, it really shouldn't matter as she will be the best horse in the race.

Thanks for Malangen Elvis.
You’d think the BHA would be able to look at the fixtures and realise something is badly wrong when you have 6 UK meetings crammed into a Saturday followed by 2 drab meetings on Sunday.
Crazy scheduling.
Middle of summer, allegedly, and we have 2 poor jumps cards only.
One with less runners in the 6 races than some big handicaps have in 1 race.
A decent flat card today would attract a decent crowd with tourists about and no footy anywhere.
Perth. 26 runners in 6 races
Come racing!
