Yesterday's sole selection was a winner, winning at a drifted price of 3/1. For a 90 rated chaser, that was a superb round of jumping, and I can't remember a single time where he wasn't flawless over the fences. He could be one to keep on the right side of, as long as he doesn't get much higher in the weights.

MINELLA TRUMP surely has to be the one the rest have to beat in this contest. Donald McCain's 7yo is in very good form at the moment, and there's no reason why he can't continue his progression over fences.
The last three runs have all come at today's track, and have all resulted in wins. He is 3/3 at the Scottish track, which is a big benefit, as he clearly handles the track, and relishes what the track has to offer. He was made to work for his most recent win, but I think he did well to win over a trip which might not be his ideal trip. He has won over 3m before in an Irish PTP, but I think that 2m 4f is more of his optimal conditions these days, so a drop back to today's trip should make his task a little easier.
The last couple of times he has decided to make the running and it has worked out well, so I'm hoping Brian Hughes will let him stride out in front and get him into a nice rhythm again today. He beat Lord Napier a couple of runs ago, and it's hard to envisage him getting close to reverse the form.
As for the others in the field, One Touch was probably my idea of his toughest opponent. He might do better now they've dropped him back down in trip, and gets in this race off a low weight. Pay The Piper enjoyed a short campaign over hurdles, which saw him win three times. He makes his chase debut, and although he has won between the flags, he might need this first run over fences, especially off 11st 6lbs.
The form of Minella Trump's latest win was franked yesterday, as Hewick, who was second to the selection, won over hurdles at Listowel. He is rated much lower over hurdles than he is over fences, but he still won very easily, winning by 4 lengths. This is a good sign as it shows that Minella Trump beat an in form rival.

Another good day today,
My nap warhorse won at 9/4 but was tipped at 11/4 at time of writing. A beautiful ride by Marco. As rizzle mentioned in the comments under my post he’s a good bit to go before he’s on Oisins sort of level but even his jockey motion and how he rides is very similar. He ticks all the boxes for me for a top jockey and if you are a racing fan and not just a punter he’s definitely an exciting prospect.
My second selection was withdrawn by Gordon Elliot and I decided to have a punt on Harrovian ridden by Dettori. It was a strange strange race, tempo was very fast and caught a lot of them off guard and in the end suited the horses in behind… even Tyson fury flew home and I think he was around 33s. Frankie got boxed in and by the time the tempo lifted he was already a beaten docket.
Had a look at tomorrow’s card and this is what I’ve gone for. 2 straight to win singles.
2:45 – Newmarket – Trident 6/5
Unfortunately only 7 runners for this class 1 tomorrow so probably not worth going for a bigger each way shout hence why I’m taking the safer option. A lot of nice 2 year olds in this Harrow and modern games the two stand outs but I think going on form they both need to take a significant step forward to match Trident.
Connections have sent him over from France after 3 very strong runs over 6f. His recent 2nd in a group 1 finishing ahead of Asymmetric looks strong enough to win in this sort of company. He stayed on quite strongly hence connections sending him over today to run over the 7f. Everything points to the winners enclosure in my eyes and I’ll be surprised if he’s beaten but hey don’t shoot the messenger!
By second selection is
Nayeff Road – Newmarket – 3:20
Decided to take on the second class 1 at Newmarket. I wasn’t planning on touching it but wanted to stick to the flat.
Mark Johnston’s Nayeff road is a stiff stayer and a lot of these runners have been running over 1m6/7 and although they may only be taking on an extra furlong or 2 it’s can be the difference from seeing a race out.
We all know Nayeff road stays, he normally runs anything between 2m and 2m 4. His form reads 355653 which maybe doesn’t look the greatest but for me personally it looks consistent, especially as the company he was running in most previous races is stronger than what he runs in tomorrow. Atzeni rides tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how he rides him. I’m hoping he takes a lead which he can do and uses the stamina to take the race to the others who arnt as proven over 2m.
3/1 at time of writing will also be interesting to see if it is backed further in or if he drifts slightly.

Delighted to call that one! A lovely drift as well. Even more delighted to call the race exactly as I wrote in my original write up. That horse stays and that horse stays well. Took the lead, used the stamina in his pedigree to have the rest of the field of the bridle a long way out. I expected it to me close but he absolutely smashed that field. A well deserved win for that one.
Disappointed not to not get the full house. My other selection Trident was extremely disappointing. I thought the extra furlong would have him flashing home but he never picked up and I’m sure connections are scratching their heads with that one. The money came for it. Backed into even money. I thought he was home and dry and he was the only horse still on the bridle while modern news was already being ridden. They did mention in commentary that he takes a while to get going, maybe jockey should of pulled the whip earlier but still no excuses.
Regardless Nayeff Road puts us easily in profit if you followed today.

I’ve been on this platform for years, I was a massive admirer of AT, he was one of the most consistent I’ve seen. Rizzle has done a brilliant job in coming in and filling those boots.
I used to tip as a proper resident tipper on other platforms and had a separate small clientele of around 75/100 people at one point through a WhatsApp group who paid me £10 a month. Doesn’t sound like a lot but it covered my bills for the entire month and the beer!
It was good at the start, but I’m a trying to recover gambler. The stress of it wasn’t worth it and found myself gambling even more so when I went on a bad run… it happens. So I gave it up. In return I offered consistent free advice/tips and set up a donation link to a PayPal for anyone who felt like they wanted to donate to the work I put in at night even if it was only an hour a night it was still my own time I was giving up.
I haven’t shared it on this platform as I know there is a lot of folk who are against the idea. But it is available if anyone feels like they would like to.
Gambling is the worst addiction in the world but I love this sport and it’s hard to get away from the gambling side of it when odds and money is thrown in your face 24/7 with it.
I’ve been in some dark places with gambling and I’m
open for a chat by the way if anyone is or is finding themselves going down that road.

At the end of the day the only way a recovering gambler, druggie, alcoholic etc can recover is to STOP if it impacts on our lives outside the addiction.
you come across as a level headed sort of chap and I know it’s the old mantra but bet what you can afford outside necessities in life and we can all enjoy a wee bet and a bit of banter without hurting our loved ones.
You have brought some needed racing knowledge here this last week, your write ups are informative and the results have been top drawer and long may it continue.
What I would say if anyone feels the need to open up about a problem addiction the first step is to talk to someone about it and admit it needs sorting, no use bottling it up, normally addicts become a bit narky when confronted by people they are affecting and that’s the time to man up and you will be surprised how understanding third parties can be in helping to mend our problem.
