Buttons And Bows was very underwhelming yesterday, and didn't run to the same level of form in which he had the previous two times. Unfortunately for me there is no jumps racing today, so I've had to return to the flat. Not much caught my eye, apart from this lightly raced Frankel colt, who could have plenty of improvement to come now that he enters handicaps.

A horse who could be much better than his current handicap mark of 82 is SAYF AL DAWLA. This son on Frankel has a cracking pedigree, and it would be a surprise, and a shame, if he didn't go on to be better than his current rating.
With this being the selections fourth ever start, you'd like to think that there is still plenty of progress to come. This step up in trip should bring out improvement, like the last step up in trip did last time out. He was a winner in his last race a month ago, which saw him stay on well inside the final furlong, winning quite comfortably in the end. Today he encounters an extra 1.5f, and based on his pedigree, this should suit. Like I mentioned before, he is by Frankel, who's progeny tend to stay very well, and he is out of a Group 1 winning mare who has produced some decent horses like Elarqam and Maydanny. The fact that he looks a strong stayer, it appears that he has followed in the footsteps of his father.
This race will be probably be ran at quite a slow pace, with only one real front runner in the race. If that is the case, I don't think it will be a problem for this horse, as he does have a decent turn of foot in his arsenal. The race he contested last time wasn't ran at a great tempo, but once he got into gear he soon picked up and put the race to bed. He is still inexperienced, and was starting to hang in the closing stages of that race, so fingers crossed he has come on in maturity in the month between races, now he has more experience under his belt.

Will be interesting to see how Ballyadam gets on over fences on Tuesday. Couldn’t jump a hurdle but has the best fence trainer in the business imo in HDB to hopefully get him off to a winning start.

Great night in the USA last night with Trixie landing and 3x singles. A close 2nd away from the 4 fold with 3rd pick losing and the n Letruska runs out a storming winner in the 4th leg.
Wish I’d backed Letruska before last night for Breeders Cup as he’s 7/4 from 5/1.
