It was nice to get two winners from the two selections yesterday. Over the way few days the form started to tail off, so to bounce back like that was very pleasing. Hopefully some of you got on, and even had the double.
Surprisingly, with the two jumps cards we have on offer for Tuesday, there's a couple of decent little races. Unfortunately, they look quite competitive, as does the race which I've got my sole bet of the day. Good luck with whatever you're backing, and good luck if you're following.
Exeter 2:40
I feel like I've already missed the boat on the value which was available at the start of the markets being opened, but I'm still going to be playing him. MANVERS HOUSE is still a maiden over hurdles, and it's really quite baffling how that has happened, and it's even more baffling by the way he has been campaigned, and constantly being pitched in to novices/maidens which produce very good horses.
The form of this horse is ridiculous when you look at what he's been put up against and not been disgraced by any stretch of the imagination. Since 2019, he has finished runner-up to Smarty Wild, Chantry House, Fantastikas and Cascova, with all of those names being 130 rated +, with Chantry House 160 over fences. He isn't up to their class, I'm not trying to say he is, but I think he is very well handicapped off a mark of 115 and should be at least 10lbs+ better than that based on his form. I think you can ignore the recent two runs, as they were over fences and that's clearly not his game. The soft ground might not be ideal, but he handles it, and carrying close to top weights also isn't a help, but this isn't exactly a top class handicap. The money which has come in for him isn't surprising, but it is encouraging.
