MILESEY enjoyed another great at the races – while I enjoyed a good day at the golf.
There's no doubt his was more profitable. Anyway here are his tips for Friday.
Lingfield 2.30
FLAMBOROUGH BREEZE 1.8
In outstanding form at the moment, going for a four-timer, and looks like the one to beat in this race despite the rise from its recent wins.
Doncaster 3.20
CALL ME A STAR (nap) 1.69
Been running well of late and this step up to 2m 3f should suit this trip and will prove the one the rest have to beat.
Newbury 3.30
SIR FRANK 6.2
Saw this one personally last Thursday at Huntingdon and was only beaten by half a length by Denali Highway. Looked that day like it could do with a step up in trip that it has, up to 2m 6f, and looks like the one to beat. Is a well treated horse coming off a mark of 115.
Lingfield 4.15
JIMMY THE SNOOZE (nap) 2.06
Trainer is in really good form at all-weather tracks and has a good strike rate. Horse opened their account last time out at the third time over C&D and is now off a mark of 69 on handicap debut.
Newbury 4.35
REGINALDINHO 4.8
Last time out was moved up in distance to 3m and just didn’t suit this horse at all. Back to a nice trip today, 2m4f, and the last run can be put aside for 3m was never for this horse, was just a test to see how it would go, and should be in the frame here.
Lingfield 4.50
ALS MEMORY 6.6
Should get back to winning ways and is given the best chance to do so with the booking of Kirby on board today. A couple of the big players in the field find themselves up in weight for this trip while ALS MEMORY meets them all today off a good mark.

3.30 NEWBURY
SHUIL ROYALE @ 15.0 E/W
Has a good chance today off the handicap mark to get a place in this race, down in weights , trip is fine, likes the ground, if it’s jumping can hold up today then it will go close.
————————————————–
Newbury’s handicap chase at 14:55 is an intriguing contest, with the Phillip Hobbs-trained Keki Buku undoubtedly well handicapped and Silver Roque of definite interest following his third-placed effort at Cheltenham when last seen in November, however at the prices it could be worth taking a chance on Fiftyonefiftyone, trained by Oliver Sherwood, in the hope that he can finally capitalise on a plummeting mark. The nine-year-old was a fairly useful chase in 2011 and although his season has so far been disappointing, including when failing to build upon a more promising effort in a jumpers bumper when finishing sixth at Doncaster last time, he is on too good a mark to ignore and could well be sparked back to life with cheekpieces in place for the first time.
Back Fiftyonefiftyone @ 10.0 in the 14:55 at Newbury

I used to follow Keith Elliotts golf tips he gave out some crackers in his time u heard of him ?
Nope, i follow my mate normally, he does well, picks 5 outsiders and puts abit on each, and has come up with some big priced winners.
Milesey
Thats my lucky 15 for the day
Thanx milesey
Good Luck

can u get app 4 this site
Dav, there’s no app but it should relatively OK if you view it in your default browser on your mobile device.
You should then be able to save a shortcut icon to your desktop (or whatever they call it on a mobile).
Mr Fixit, you say Milesay had a great day yesterday but how can you say that? If you had bet every horse at level stakes you would have lost!
I has a great day, i only bet my naps singles and doubles….. i know the rest isn’t great had some bad runs on a few etc….. and you wouldn’t bet level on a 1/2 shot the same as you would take a punt on a 8/1 shot.
Milesey
You son’t bet everything do you, they are tips, you take what you want and ignore the others, you don’t bet everything, i wish i could hit 100% strike rate everyday, i know it’s not going to happen, they are there as tips, a guide, you don’t think it will win, pick something you think will. No one can go through a card of say 7 meetings at a track and pick a winner from each race, if they can they are very lucky, or the favourite has come in every race. It’s all about looking round and picking them out based on many factors, takes alot of work, and could fall at the first fence, but thats racing.
Milesey
Rob, just my opinion from his main tips. I wouldn’t expect anyone to bet all the horses he puts up. But if you take his singles, doubles and naps you should do OK. And his outsiders aren’t doing too badly either.
ROB, I’VE HAD 2 LUCKY 15’S UP IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS FOLLOWING MILESEYS ADVICE. LIKE HE SAYS PICK THROUGH THEM AND MAKE YOUR OWN SELECTIONS.HES A WINNER.
Milesey 1st time poster cheers for tips nice wee double at taunton 3.40 and 4.10 wots double of day today
Wots thoughts on opening cheltenham hurricane fly quvega my tent or yours worth laying down treble the now or waiting till closer for prices
You have to wait at the moment, horses are still down to run in every race at the moment till trainers / owners decide what entry they are going to take up and whats best for their horse, still a few with runs before cheltenham, so still undecided whether to take their horses there or not at the moment.
Milesey
Well to be fair anyone that bets any paper tipsters bets for that day is going to come a cropper most times because on average they are betting say even 2 meetings 12 horses and if they get even 2 up in a meeting they are doing damn good imho.
The Naps is the way to go and they have been pretty good so far
………… don’t forget my outsiders 2 days running ;) ;) couldn’t really find anything for today, so i’ll have to get looking again in the morning.
Milesey
No such thing as outsiders to peeps in the Know ;-)
I will need to wait a wee while till i get a decent bank going to pick outsiders unfortunately :-(
Double treble from flamboyant breeeze jimmy the snooze and call ne star! Dont like all weather betting usualky but they both look shoeins
Milesey, a question,..a few weeks back that punter that won £50K in Betfair backing Coventry at 1000 when 2-1 behind with a few mins left…what “should” he have done (obviously he did the right thing won £5ok!!) when they equalised/what wid you have done/what were the options open…cash in at 2-2/how much wid he have won if he cashed in etc??….
You can trade the bet out ;)

Cheltenham Gold Cup Betting 2013
The bookies’ current ante-post favourite is Bobs Worth, priced at around 4.0 (that’s 3/1 in fractional odds). It’s been heavily tipped my many experts and is sure to go off as pre-race favourite, however it wouldn’t be the first time that the fave has been beaten in the Gold Cup, so what of the alternatives?
Well, Sir Des Champs is also fancied by some, and certainly has the class to beat the field, but can he beat a field of this quality? Silviniaco Conti and last year’s favourite Long Run are next in the betting and could threaten to cause an upset.
Hmmm just for curiosity I will put the lucky 15 each way. Don’t want to be pulling my hair out if it comes in. Just 1 winner will put me in profit

WOLVERHAMPTON PLACEPOT
———————–
17:40- The David Evans-trained Sommersturm has been in good heart of late, winning under this rider here last week, and he looks like a solid proposition in the opening contest. The fact eight runners remain in contention, meaning a top-three finish will secure progression, gives us confidence to bank on the in-form Sommersturm.
18:10- Hiddon Coin was seen to good effect at Southwell yesterday, registering a wide-margin victory over rivals who probably didn’t give their running on the fibresand surface. Hiddon Coin does, however, also boast fairly useful form on the polytrack, unbeaten in two attempts, and he should be able to register another victory if allowed to take his chance.
18:40- Hannahs Turn showed improved form to score on her handicap debut at Southwell last time, but we will take her on with horses that boast better form on the polytrack. Petite Georgia looks the obvious candidate to turn to, dropping back in trip and eased in grade slightly. She travelled well in front for a long way over seven furlongs last time, suggesting that she may be seen to better effect over six, and she merits inclusion into the Placepot. Jordanstown finished a long way behind Hannahs Turn at Southwell last time, but it is possible he simply didn’t handle the surface and he is given another chance to build on the promise of his penultimate effort.
19:10- Zainda has achieved the highest level of form, though whether she will be able to run to her best on this first outing since leaving John Oxx is questionable. Ifan, on the other hand, hasn’t looked particularly progressive but he appeals as a consistent type and should run his race. We will bank on Tim Vaughan’s five-year-old.
19:40- Ishikawa appeals as a reliable sort, exactly the type of horse you want to include in a Placepot, and the form of his latest success at Lingfield has worked out well. A 4 lb rise in the weights looks to be fair and Alan King’s charge holds excellent claims of registering the hat-trick. Given his consistent profile, and the fact three places are on offer, Ishikawa will be our sole selection.
20:10- Not the easiest race to work out, especially as a couple of non-runners have reduced the field to four, and there is little point taking any risk at this stage, so we will simply take all four horses and hope that one of the outsiders can cause an upset.

Lingfield 2:00 … I am drawn to FAIRY MIST at 16/1 … its been stuck in Visors for the 1st time today … Kirby/Bridger combo … Or just lump on SAHARIA … thoughts would be great lads
Fairy mist you can get at 24’s if you think it’s worth a punt, but i am drawn to PAPHOS !, FAIRY MIST and AMBER MOON shouldn’t feature in this race, so when looking i am disregarding them completely.
Milesey
and then there PAPHOS as well … ahh
Why the hell do he ease PAPHOS down at the line……. S H O C K I N G !
Milesey
David Probert will get a long long holiday after his ride on Paphos, hope nobody backed it!!!
Didn’t back it but thought it would win that and should have, he put it well clear, and SAHARIA got lucky there, 5 lengths down, both JOCKEYS were shocking, probert for easing it up, and the other nob for letting PAPHOS go clear ! One got lucky and one needs to hold his hands up and admit he made a massive mistake there, but that don’t help out punters that backed it and will be after his head now.
Milesey
I put a little on FAIRY MIST e/w but lumped on SAHARIA … So happy days
david probert what was he thinking he will be out action for a bit saying that not a miss never rated him
He got 28 day ban!
ha ha ha, people are ringing up Betfair asking for their money back because of PROBERT, hahaha, You want to go and ask PROBERT for your money ;) ;) hope the trainer whips him and doesn’t ever give him a ride on his horses again, and a nice 3 months ban for costing punters thousands.
Milesey
Gutted had to go wide on the home turn, and couldn’t breeze it today, was pushed too wide and had to cut back, and that was enough for it to lose on the line today, 2ND FLAMBOROUGH BREEZE.
Milesey
Too angry to comment
you just did ;)
hahaha, so funny what people are saying, some phoning up attheraces, racing uk, timeform, willhill radio and are swearing their heads off live, saying he was being too cockey, that he should be shot, a years ban, pay out all the punters who lost their money, trainer should never use him again…. not seen anything from Probert himself yet, waiting for what he says, when treadwell went round the jump a few weeks ago he came out and held his hands up, be interesting to hear what probert has to say.
Milesey
hahaha prob along the lines of “I had a big bet myself on SAHARIA and I really need a kitchen renovation”
Makes you wonder if Probert took a dive. Rumours of corruption in Horse Racing will be re-ingited.
yes and ithink some horse racing is fix
28 day ban not sufficient at all.
Newbury 4pm … I’ve just stuck some money on EXPLAINED @ 4/1 …. loves this sort of distance … Definetly in with a shout
“World number one Rory McIlroy walked off the course after completing just eight holes of his second round at the Honda Classic in Florida.
The defending champion withdrew after hitting his second shot into the water on the 18th – his ninth – and slumping to seven over par for the day”
What an absolute baby !
This new contract with NIKE has gone to his head ;)
Milesey
Milesey, what’s that all about? Coral has cut the odds on Rory McIlroy not winning a Major this year to 1-2 (from 8-15), after the world number one withdrew from the Honda Classic midway through his round today. The Northern Irishman is 6-4 with Coral to add to his Major tally in 2013, and 17-2 (from 13-2) second favourite for the season’s opening Major next month, the Masters, behind Tiger Woods, the 5-1 (from 11-2) market leader.
Milesey pls could u confirm if there was a rule 4 deduction for the 3.50 Doncaster. I had brave Spartacus am missing a lot of cash. I got it at 4s.
Thanks
Went from 7 runners to 6, with Brunswick Gold n/r, so yes there would be.
JIMMY SNOOOOOZED, and is still fast asleep, someone go and wake him up…. First NAP to go down in quite some while… GUTTED.
Milesey
20p/25p deduction in £ depending on which bookie you were on with.
Jimmy the Snooze down as a NAP Good One

SATURDAY 2ND MARCH 2013

MEYDAN – SATURDAY CARNIVAL
———————-
It’s been well documented that Godolphin haven’t always enjoyed the greatest of success with their Australian imports, but recent evidence suggests that tide is turning and Free Wheeling looks to have sound claims in the 15:25. He was a Group 2 winner in 2011 for Peter Snowden, supplementing that with a pair of listed wins last year and his debut for Saeed bin Suroor firmly suggests he is capable of defying his current mark of 108. He was set loads to do behind Rerouted in a race where few landed a blow (Van Ellis almost stole it from the front), but finished off very strongly to get to within two and a quarter lengths of the winner and can be expected to reverse form with that one given the draw is far more in his favour this time. Kieren Fallon takes over which can only boost his claims (Fallon rides Meydan better than most in my opinion) and it will be disappointing if he doesn’t go close.
It’s a slight concern to see Musir backing up so quickly after his reappearance last week but it was a run full of promise and he looks to have been found a good opportunity in the Zabeel Mile at 17:10. He did well here last year, winning the first round of the Maktoum Challenge and the Al Rashidiya, his form tailing off to a degree subsequently but he returned from a failed spell at stud with a performance that suggests all his ability remains intact. He actually looked the likely winner when quickening into contention over 1f out but fitness was clearly an issue (as is the case with so many from the yard returning from a break) and he tired into fourth behind Mushreq. The presence of Fulbright and the impressive Trade Storm should ensure he is a reasonable price but Musir has the class edge and has plenty in his favour today.
Royal Empire could easily be a short price in the 17:45 but I make no apologies for selecting him as he really does look to have outstanding claims of getting his head back in front. He beat Kassiano on his reappearance before having to settle for second behind Mushreq and Kassiano on his next two outings, form that is undeniably very strong with Mushreq winning a Group 2 last week and Kassiano progressing again since then. He is already proven over this course and distance and probably won’t even need to improve to take this.
Back Free Wheeling 5.2 ( 15:25 )
Back Musir 3.1 ( 17:10 )
Back Royal Empire 3.4 ( 17:45 )
————————–
ZABEEL MILE 5.10 – MEYDAN
Musir won first 2 starts here last year, namely the first round of the Maktoum Challenge and Al Rashidiya. Failed at stud since then but promised plenty when fourth last week and the one to beat.
Mustaheel won his first 3 starts in France last year, including a 5-runner listed race. Found out in better events subsequently and has struggled in handicap company this season so opposable in this.
Trade Storm ran in some competitive handicaps last year, winning at York in August. Most impressive turn of foot when beating Anaerobio last time and whilst this is a step up in grade, dangerous to rule out.
Fulbright thrived for Mark Johnston in 2012, winning 6 times, including a Group 2 at Newmarket on final outing. Good placed efforts both outings this campaign and claims again despite penalty.
Derbaas is a smart performer and has come back as good as ever this season, winning twice at Abu Dhabi. Has found things tougher in Carnival events the last twice and looks vulnerable once more.
Royal Ridge is a 3-time winner in South Africa, including a minor event over 1m. Has gradually come to himself in Dubai this year, second at Jebel Ali before beating Producer last time and not out of this.
Don’t Call Me won 2 competitive handicaps last year and as good as ever at Meydan this season, shaping well all 4 starts in some strong races. Another good run when fifth to Mushreq last week and frame claims.
Le Drakkar ended losing run that stretched back to 2008 when getting the better of Tamaathul here in January. Far from disgraced in better event subsequently but likely to come up short again.
VERDICT: Musir is backing up rather quickly after his reappearance but he did shape well last week when fourth to Mushreq and should be too good for these. Trade Storm was most impressive when winning in handicap company last time and looks the main danger with Fulbright, who is another to consider despite having to give weight away all round.
BACK MUSIR TO WIN
————————-
NEWBURY 3.50 – GREATWOOD GOLD CUP
Big Fella Thanks landed this race (for Paul Nicholls) in 2010. Third in Becher Chase in December before getting back on scoresheet in 21f handicap at Wincanton following month, though 9 lb higher now.
Ballabriggs won the Grand National in 2011, was sixth in last year’s renewal and most likely being brought along with that race in mind once more, looking to need both outings this term. Probably best watched again.
Pacha du Polder took well to chasing last season, winning 3 of 5 starts, and back at that level when second in 3m listed event at Sandown in December, but he’s been pulled up in 2 other outings this term.
The Knoxs has been lightly raced but is smart, winning handicaps over hurdles and fences (in tongue tie) last term. Upsides when falling last over C&D in November and looks top yard’s main hope on riding arrangements.
Pepite Rose is better over fences than hurdles, winning 4 on the bounce early last year. Good third at Ascot (17f) on return, but ran poorly there next time and needs to bounce back after over 3 months off.
Mahogany Blaze is a smart chaser at his best. Not won since April 2008, but best effort for good while when going down narrowly over C&D in November, though typically followed that with poor run at Chepstow 5 weeks later.
Tony Star is a keen-going sort who shaped well when fourth in Wincanton Grade 2 on chase debut and back on track after lesser effort when runner up at Huntingdon last month, though has stiff-looking mark here.
Micheal Flips did well over fences last term, winning twice over 19f. Attitude doubts creeping in now, though, and while his fourth in a jumpers’ bumper last time was a fair effort, he remains one to be wary of.
Midnight Sail is a reliable sort who found only one too good on 6 occasions either side of Fontwell (2¾m) win in April and got deserved success at Kempton (2½m) last week, though career-high mark makes life tougher now.
Mr Gardner finished third in 2011 Scilly Isles at Sandown for Nicky Henderson, but his fourth behind Big Fella Thanks at Wincanton on first start for 22 months leaves him with plenty to find from this mark.
Saved By John is a winning hurdler who made successful chasing debut at Uttoxeter (2½m) in June and has returned from a break in good form, following Chepstow second with success at Wincanton (2m) in January. Respected.
Bahrain Storm was a very smart hurdler on his day and transferred some of that ability to fences in 2011, winning twice. Beaten long way out in X-country event in November, though, and below par on Flat last month.
Garynella was a useful hurdler in France, winning listed event at Enghien in April 2011. Scored over fences at Nantes in June (sold for €70,000 afterwards) and shaped well on first start for this yard in December.
VERDICT: The Knoxs goes well fresh and is likely to make a bold bid to give Paul Nicholls his sixth success in this race since 2006, but he may have to play second fiddle to Garynella, who showed up well for a long way when third on his UK debut at Cheltenham in December and could prove very well treated off this mark.
BACK GARYNELLA 6.8 TO WIN

NEWBURY 3.15
SPORTING BOY 6.8
Has to overcome a 14lb rise if it’s going to get the treble today, but after it’s last run out when was eased down and won by 8 lengths, this horse has plenty left in it, and should defy the weight rise today.
KELSO 3.40
EDUARD 2.4
Absolutely bolted up on it’s last run out and looked that day a very impressive horse with a great future ahead of it, i expect it today to carry on where it left off last time out. Easily the best form and is on a nice mark. BRICK RED is another class horse in this field, tried to run from the front last time out and couldn’t hold on finishing in 2nd place.
KELSO 4.15
HARRY TOPPER 3.6
Going for the 4 timer today will take all the beating in this race, BOLD SIR BRIAN could get close but after last time outs heavy fall i feel this would have effected this horse and don’t see it bouncing back with the win today. So it’s the progressive HARRY TOPPER for me and the 4 timer awaiting today.
DONCASTER 3.30
AAIM TO PROSPER 3.8
I think this horse has done enough in my eyes to suggest this step up to 3m today won’t be a problem for it, it’s on handicap debut and off a mark of 124, RUBY WALSH on board for Paul Nicholls, i couldn’t see past this one, wanted to leave it out, so if that’s what you want to do then thats fair game, i also fancied THEMILANHORSE 1.15 DONCASTER, RUBY WALSH on board again for Nicholls but don’t want to push my luck too much today with too many RUBY rides. I feel pretty safe with this one, and from what i have seen will be fine with the trip.
LINGFIELD 5.10
GABRIAL THE DUKE 3.2
Won easy last time out and today goes for the treble, as it’s last win was in an apprentice handicap it escapes any penalty for that race.
DONCASTER 1.45
MA FILLEULE 1.56 ( NAP )
Well in front of all the other runners here, even 1/2 the same run today as last time out would be good enough in this field. Won a grade 2 contest last time out with a bit in hand, AP on board today.
LUCKY 15

Gunner, if you can’t say anything constructive don’t say anything. No point in having a rant at Milesey’s who doing a decent job and clearly knows his stuff. No one can get them right all the time but must praise Record racing tipster who went through the card at Doncaster in today’s paper.
Did he pick the winners after the race like gunner, or did he pick them before ? ;) ;)
Milesey
I don’t see your tips before the event , just bullsh*t after it ;) ;)

Milesey
It was a joke i was taking the piss ;) ;) out of people like you who come on here and think they are great for 10 minutes after a event they can say they were on it, but i see no tips from you for any of it, you couldn’t even pick your nose let alone a winner, oh yeah unless the event is finished then uess what you were on it, you can’t make money that way, don’t think a bookie would take your slip after the event has finished ;) ;)
Milesey
Be careful as he is going to “but them up” backs to the wall chaps!!!!!

I don’t see any tips from you, i see bullsh*t and thats it, put your a*se on the line and give us tips, no one is fooled, your winning f*ck all, anyone can say they picked something when it’s won, takes an idiot to do that, what you really are ! Sorry no more time for planks like you. Look forward to your 3 winners tomorrow night when they have won, i’ll post my 3 o’clock winners at 5pm !
Milesey
Gunner, I’m witnessed one many occasions that Milesey can take care of hisself in this sort of pointless slagging. Personally I can vouch for the mans outstanding record n strike rate and has given those of us that follow and appreciate the effort he puts in some excellent advise and substantial profit. He shares his knowledge and reasoning eloquently…he doesnt have too. Don’t try n put a spanner in the works for those that follow n appreciate it, nor just gurn n slag off. Why don’t you try n match his strike rate post your tips and then some of us might listen more to you?? If not leave those of us that want to tap into his knowledge and make a few bob in the process to it?
GUUUUUUIIIIIIDDDDDOOOOOOO!!!
yes ok i will post my 3 clock tips around 2
lol Muzza is a pellet
What’s that supposed to mean HANK?
no, we want 3 horses from you, well as you put them 3 winners, all in by 1pm tomorrow, your strike rate is so good after the race has finished, lets see how good it is before the race starts, and don’t copy my tips ;)
Milesey
ok milesey i will do lucky 15 i have them up around 12or 1
