Hello to everyone and I hope everybody is well! As promised previously I said I’d jump on the thread for any big meetings and with Tuesday's card at Punchestown being filled with top class racing I thought I’d come on.

Punchestown 4.15

On paper a two-horse race between the Mullins pair of DYSART DYNAMO and Sir Gerhard. The current market seems to prefer Sir Gerhard who’s currently priced up as short as 8/13.

Is Sir Gerhard worthy of being that short? I’m not totally convinced.

Is Sir Gerhard a better horse than Dysart Dyanamo? Again I’m not totally sure but at the prices, 2/1 for Dysart Dynamo looks a better value bet in my eyes.

You could argue that the recent fall for Dysart Dynamo (which looked quite a nasty one) could be reflective of the price as we all know that a fall can sometimes have an effects on a horse next time out.

That being said… Cheltenham wasn’t that long ago and he’s been thrown right back in today in a good little race. I assume he’s absolutely spot on for the recent fall and isn’t showing any signs at home of having any effects of it.

It’s disappointing we only have the 5 runners in the field but I think that could play into Dynamo's favour.

He’s a free going type, he travels very well over this trip. He was arguably travelling just as well as Constitution Hill and Jonbon when 3 out at Cheltenham before his fall and in my eyes would have finished 2nd hadn’t he crashed out.

If given a uncontested lead he may be hard to peg back and that’s exactly how I see this race planning out.

Punchestown 3:40

A cracking opener to the card and I’ll be honest I was surprised to see the current market have my selection priced up at 4/1.

After seeing the market I’ve decided to take advantage of the betting without favourite who currently is Dinoblue and given he’s as short as 6/4 I’ll be surprised if he drifts out from favourite but don’t quote me on that one!

The reason I was surprised to see Grangee priced up at 4s behind Party Central and Dinoblue is because she had them two rivals behind her when they met at Cheltenham back in March.

Grangee was last seen at Fairyhouse when it seemed the trip of 2m4 got the better of her when she only managed a 6th place finish.

The return to 2miles will suit her on a less demanding track at Punchestown and I can see her running a good race under Paul Townend.

Good luck!
