It was nice to land a horse racing double at the weekend after being absent from the site for a few weeks.

The highlight had to be my boy Frodon winning, I absolutely adore that horse and to watch him win in the fashion he did made my weekend!

Metier won at an advised price of 10/1, you see it quite regularly these high-rated jumps horses being overlooked on the flat, I knew he loved the mud and he ran through it like a knife through butter to land the spoils.

I’ve two selections for tomorrow and fingers crossed we can keep the winning momentum up.

1:25 Bangor: Found On 6/4

It’s not often I back against Rizz and his selections and I was surprised he didn’t take Found On in this one given he tipped her up last time to win at Cheltenham at around 8/1 when she ran them all ragged as one of the outsiders of the field.

If turning up in a similar form, surely she is the one they all have to beat? I think Bowen will take her to the front and race prominent and make this a real stamina test as we know this horse stays very well. The drop-back-in trip doesn’t bother me in the slightest and I can see her out jumping the rest of this field and have them all chasing a few furlongs from home.

1:40 Dundalk: Eglish ( TO PLACE ) 2/1 & Aljady to win 7/2

I’m having a double bet in this race.

I despise Irish flat racing, in particular at Dundalk. The devil track is what I call it. But here I am tipping on it, only time will tell whether I was foolish to do so.

Eglish is one of the most frustrating Irish flat-racing horses I’ve seen this year. There have been times this horse should be home and clear and some bow doesn’t get the head in front.

Although Eglish is frustrating he’s at least consistently finishing 2nd in its last 4 races.

I’ve seen this horse trade at In play odds of 1/16 and still get beat. Baffling.

Regardless… he drops down to 6f tomorrow after consistently staying the 7f quite well and I think he’s a cracking bet to place top 3 at odds of 2/1.

Current market favourite Aljady who was originally trained in the UK was once rated in the 100s but has now dropped to a rating of 90 for trainer Denis Hogan. He ran his first race for Denis Hogan at the Curragh last month on heavy ground and ran very well to finish 7th in a large 24-runner field.

That run should of blown away any cobwebs and I think he’s the one they all have to beat.

Good luck!
