Fred Winter Hurdle
Coeur De Lion – Alan King 14-1 10bet
I think he is interesting and I like him. He was beaten by Defi Du Seuil at Cheltenham and by only 1 3/4 lengths, he then got beat when a short odds-on favourite but returned with another win at Sandown. But that second at Cheltenham I like as he looked a battler and I always say I like a horse with fight. He ran all the way to the line up that Cheltenham hill and I was impressed and is a horse that has quite a bit of improvement.
Long Call – Tony Martin 17-2 10bet
Good ground is what this horse needs although he has won on heavy. His action says good ground and we haven’t seen this horse's best yet. Ex-Godolphin flat horse was very impressive two runs ago and he jumped superbly, he was a bit disappointing last time but just found one that liked the soft ground better and as I say Long Call will be a lot better given a better surface, leading claims.
Master Blueyes – Alan King 15-2 10bet
Beat Long Call last time and two good seconds before that especially when second to Charli Parcs and is another horse that has a chance, Entered for other races but this should be the one he runs in.
Mega Fortune – Gordon Elliott 11-1 10bet
Probably my favourite horse in the race, ex-flat runner rated 80. He was third behind Landofhopeandglory and Bapaume at Leopardstown. He was then third again behind the same two horses but got closer to them and last time out he turned the tables on Bapaume by beating him 3 1/2 lengths. Mega Fortune could yet go for the Triumph but I think he will come here and Gordon Elliott will send Dinaria Des Obeaux to the Triumph.
