RAY PURCHASE (2.40) can reward favourite backers in the 6f handicap at Southwell.
Keith Dalgleish's three-year-old fairly hosed up over an extra furlong here last month and had the misfortune to run into Mick Easterby's unexposed Harvest Day when attempting to follow up at Wolverhampton. Harvest Day landed some nice bets at Newcastle yesterday, so the form looks rock solid.
DREAM SERENADE (2.05) goes particularly well on the Fibresand but has been struggling to poke her head in front.
She was beaten half a length by The Gay Cavalier over course and distance last Thursday and Mick Appleby's five-year-old can improve on her recent course figures of 3-3-2. She holds Go Go Gal on a line through Leonard Thomas and has likely favourite Ignacio Zuloaga to beat.
I had a double up at Ayr yesterday to end a good month on a high. Johnb had no winners but it was a better month for him. Well done to all Wednesday's winners.
