LASTIN’ MEMORIES (5.10) looks attractively weighted in the concluding 2m 2f handicap hurdle at Kelso.
The six-year-old has been well backed on occasions lately, going off second favourite before disappointing behind in-form Haul Us In here nine days ago. Castin’ Memories appeared to find the 2m 5f trip overtaxing and will be more at home over this shorter distance.
He was beaten less than a length on his previous start at Wetherby and his fifth to Instingtive at Ayr was a fair effort, with third horse Our Lucus winning since at Carlisle. If all eight runners go to post he is a cracking each-way bet in this conditional jockeys’ contest.
Micky Hammond has enjoyed a terrific season, often winning with big-price horses. He despatches two runners to Kelso, OSCAR O’SCAR (3.10) and SILVER TASSIE (3.40).
Oscar O’Scar ran well for a long way in the 3m 2f race on this card 12 months ago before weakening off the home bend. This 2m 5f intermediate trip will be more to his liking and comes here fresh having had a break since running Dica close at Sedgefield on Boxing Day.
Silver Tassie shoulders top weight but a repeat of his second to useful Smooth Stepper at Newcastle in February would put him firmly in the mix. Silver Tassie scored off this mark at Ayr last March and his most recent run at Wetherby when third to Gonalston Cloud was another solid effort.

one I like next Saturday in the Scottish champion hurdle, which is a handicap, but who cares .
last years winner chesterfield, currently 15-2.
this is his time of year, had good form going into last years race, won at Aintree in prep race.
this year beat the runner up from last years champ hurdle zubayr in a flat race at Kempton before running a respectable 4th at Cheltenham.
was due to run at Aintree but withdrawn, presumably because of the ground.
this years field doesn’t look as strong at first glance and chesterfield has 1 pound less to carry .
its the favourite at the moment but its price will surely drop if conditions fall his way and 15-2 is a good favourites price imo.

John b, just seen the news about Clemmie.. gutted to say the least, I’d even bought a ticket for the day. I have £25 on at 25/1 with bet365. They are still offering me a £72 cash out on that stake. How likely is it that she’ll run, and run to its best? Am I mad not to take that cash out? I’m sure it won’t be there for long. Cheers
With 20 days to go it’s very unlikely she will run but then again it’s not impossible for her to get fit, she missed seven days training with the bruised foot so that just shows how just seven days can put a horse back
As for the cash out it’s up to you, as I said it’s unlikely but there is still a slim chance
Look at it this way . Bf has it at 26 so they don’t think it will run. Take your £72 . Bet 25 on bf @26 and pocket £47
Done exactly this. Took the 72, put 15 on the exchange at 36s and pocketed 57. decent result but still praying he runs

Thanks for Tornado Watch, mate
Would running her even if not fit help her anyway as part of preparing for future engagements, kind of advanced training prep. Even if she lost and then won next time it surely wouldn’t affect her worth down the line.
Connections are looking at a prep race, I would consider the Guineas as a prep race because you just never know how good she could still be not fully ready but it all comes down to doing right by the horse
Nap Chicoria wins even after the saddle slipped a long way out, what a good ride by Harry Reed
The 33lb Silver Tassie was giving away to the winner was just a bit too much, only beat a neck but good return eachway at 10/1
