SILVER GHOST (4.0) should justify favouritism despite shouldering top weight in the 1m 2f handicap at Nottingham.
The four-year-old has been a revelation since joining Eve Johnston Houghton, rattling off a midsummer hat-trick at Goodwood, Epsom and Sandown before taking his form to a new level at Newbury when running fourth to Brorocco in a hot 19-runner handicap.
Brorocco ran a stormer in last Saturday's Cambridgeshire and Silver Ghost's earlier fourth to Thundering Blue at Sandown has been well advertised since, with runner-up Monarchs Glen winning at Goodwood.
The first-time blinkered Miningrocks is likely to charge off in front like a scolded cat so there should be a strong pace to chase.
With the ground riding heavy at Salisbury it's odds-on the runners will gravitate to the stands' side so the draw could have a bearing in the sprint races.
There are no draw worries concerning LESTER KRIS (4.40) in the 1m 6f handicap and he is taken to go one better than when chasing home bang-in-form Golden Birthday at Leicester on soft ground.
The track was also riding deep at York when Lester Kris finished runner-up to Charlie Appleby's Alqamar back in May.
