GALLOWAY HILLS (5.50) has been crying out for seven furlongs and gets that at Epsom on Oaks day.

David Elsworth also saddles favourite Ripp Orf but Silvestre De Sousa gets the leg up on bottom weight Galloway Hills, twice placed over six furlongs in competitive handicaps at Newmarket.

Today’s ground will be a good bit softer than he has experienced but his sire Kyllachy enjoyed some cut underfoot so that offers further encouragement in a very open affair.

The Investec Oaks takes centre stage and FOREVER TOGETHER (4.30) is poised to step up on previous efforts.

Aidan O’Brien’s better-fancied stablemate Magic Wand captured the headlines in the Cheshire Oaks after a bold front-running ride from Ryan Moore on the Roodee.

The eye-catcher was Forever Together as the filly found herself trapped in a pocket racing off the home bend before staying on strongly into second. She remains a maiden after three starts but there is scope for improvement.

Wild Illusion’s fourth in the 1000 Guineas is the most solid piece of form on display and she must go close for the boys in blue if staying this trip. With O’Brien saddling five runners, Wild Illusion looks the best hope of keeping the prize on home soil.

The recent rain enhances the chance of AJMAN KING (3.45) in the 1m 2f handicap as the ground was heavy when landing the odds in a course and distance maiden last autumn.

Roger Varian’s gelding returned to the track in April to supplement that earlier success and will relish the soft ground now chasing a four-timer.

If odds of around 7-4 don’t excite your palate there are plenty of each-way options, not least last year’s winner Not So Sleepy.

DR RICHARD KIMBLE (9.10) can hopefully recoup recent losses in the finale at Doncaster. Mark Johnston’s three-year-old looked home and hosed at Haydock until mugged close home.

That run came on soft ground but he ran really well on good to firm at Beverley when third to Neverbeen To Paris.

At Goodwood, PAST MASTER (8.15) is well worth an ew punt at odds of around 7-1.

Henry Candy’s gelding was half a length behind White Desert when they finished third and fourth respectively behind Abareeq at Newmarket and the handicapper has dropped him 2lb. White Desert has since hacked up by six lengths.

    • the notorious 6 years ago

Its a shocker John. I dont think meth has any performance enhancing abilities.

    • Johnb 6 years ago

There are people in the racing industry that believe it makes horses run faster but I am no expert on crystal meth

johnb it can make a horse go faster but the risks are high for a horse of having a heart attack,he should never be let train a horse again.

Fantastic tips theplug! Backed both Archie and money for luck ew after seeing your tips and what a finish from money for luck! Drifted massively to 20/1! I’ve got a question though guys, I backed money for luck at Carrick at 11s with coral (2.50 ew) and it went off at 20s. I’ve been settled at 11s but doesn’t BPG apply to all UK and Irish races with coral? Tried to get a live chat to query with them but keeps failing to connect. I should be getting 20s or am I missing something? Cheers in advance.

Also well done to all who tipped Ajman King in the 3.45 (Alan, recoba, the plug, agoose), started the ball (and bank) rolling today ?

    • recoba 6 years ago

Yeah thank France for the majority of the singles today Wolf14,few great shouts. See another nice one from EwThief ?
I was real lucky with Cracksman as I had him in small doubles too with Ajman and Mendoza place.
IF its BOG Coral do you should get 20/1 if that was SP price…give em hell! Lol

PS I think ill just stick to following and chat I’ve been backing too many horses after I get a win,up n down like a fiddlers elbow.
      Good watching but!

      WOLF14
couldn’t believe he drifted to 20/1 brilliant for us ,but I think you should have got the 20s bog ,but I’m not 100% sure ,I think ladbrooks don’t give bog I’m not sure about coral

  22. wolf14 6 years ago

Yeah, I’m going to keep trying to get a hold of them but conveniently the chat keeps failing to connect to an agent (they’re at it lol). I’ll be phoning with my angry voice if they don’t cough up ahaha.

I’ve been a follower of this post for years ( back in the days when alanm used pay for my nights out) and cherry pick singles from the collective comments (for interest and not much gain tbf) and rarely back the long shots but had to give theplug a shout for the Carrick tip, he’s got a nack for tipping left field winners.

  23. 6 years ago

yeah the days of alanm busstop and jimron are long gone some great guys on here but mostly just guys competing with each other now and trolls spoiling it for everyone
