BAGS GROOVE (2.55) could be the answer to an interesting but trappy handicap hurdle at Kempton.
Harry Fry's gelding blew away the cobwebs with a close eighth to Court Minstrel at Chepstow, with the form of that race working out very strongly. Louis' Vac Pouch, sixth at Chepstow, scored on Saturday and Bags Groove landed a gamble next time at Aintree, travelling smoothly before taking up the running at the last. He could well take an 8lb rise in his stride.
Who Dares Wins, third in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham in March and winner of the Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket, rates a big danger, while Ben Pauling's useful novice Le Breuil looks ready for a step up in grade.
Lesser fare at Southwell but SECOND PAGE (12.40) is worth a small interest. Richard Hannon's colt has been running in slightly better company, recording placed efforts behind Wine List at Kempton, Alexander M (Chester) and Montanna (Newcastle).
Favourite Line Of Beauty ran second in a four-runner fillies' maiden at Chelmsford City but beat only one home in a Sandown handicap last time out. She sets the standard but it is hardly a formidable one.
Mick Appleby has a fine record on Southwell's Fibresand surface and Epitaph should be involved.
The first-time visor didn't have much effect at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening, with Epitaph a one-paced sixth over a shorter trip. His second places at Yarmouth and Nottingham earlier in the season give him an obvious chance.

This horse has been running on the flat for Alan king and ran some more than decent races at royal Ascot, the Chester cup and won the cesarawich trial at Newmarket.
Over hurdles he has won 3 times, 2 in November and 1 in December but his 3rd in this years coral cup surpasses all these, you just have to see the list of horses behind him that are a lot better than today’s opponent, tin soldier, modus, old guard, monks land to name a few.
He should be fit as he won the cesarawich trial from more fancied stable, mate coer de lion in September then came 10th in the real thing last month.
Has won on good/soft and heavy over jumps and good on the flat.
