NORTHWEST FRONTIER (4.15) will appreciate the return to two miles at York following his excellent second to Euchen Glen at Ayr over a much shorter trip.
Richard Fahey’s progressive stayer had previously powered home at Ripon and Nottingham when his stamina kicked in.
At Ascot, EXTRA ELUSIVE (3.05) looked a horse to follow when hacking up at Nottingham under Silvestre De Sousa and his only other career start saw him beat the smart First Eleven at Newbury last October. His opening handicap mark of 86 doesn’t appear too daunting.
GOSSIP COLUMN (3.35) knuckled down well to catch Epaulement at Haydock and on that evidence will be well served by this step up to 1m 4f. He is 5lb higher in a tougher grade but it’s hard to see him not being involved in the finish.
ARBALET (3.15) is interesting in the Listed contest at Chester following his 100-1 fifth to Expert Eye in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot. Hugo Palmer’s three-year-old is nicely boxed in stall four.
The concluding apprentices’ handicap is very competitive but GABRIALS CENTURION (5.25) is worth an each-way interest. Richard Fahey’s gelding ran third to favourite Weellan at Ripon from a poor draw in stall 13 and is 7lb better off today.

I have a £5 and £10 4folds now relying on burmese blazer at 1830H, it is effectivrly a tight 4 horse race, combined cash out £218 or let it ride for £823, ANY ADVICE? I dont want the sickness of it coming in and I cashed out.
It’s entered again on Monday at Ayr and Hamilton on Thursday was slow away lto and the Trainer not the most reliable but have heard it’s trying bol whatever you do
