THOMMO reckons the sprints at Southwell can be profitable on Thursday and also has an evening pick from Chelmsford.

TWO sprints at Southwell have thrown up a couple of appealing bets in SO HIGH SPEED (3.35) and GORGEOUS GENERAL (5.20).
The former hasn’t been seen for 206 days and has had a gelding operation in the interim. Robert Cowell’s three-year-old has a couple of pounds in hand of the filly Kadiz on official figures and should be good enough.
Gorgeous General has won three of his last four starts and goes unpenalised for his narrow course and distance success eight days ago in an apprentices’ race under today’s 7lb claimer William Carver.
Chelmsford 8.25
CASHEL (8.25) beat a consistent and in-form horse in Gas Monkey at Kempton in mid-January and Mick Appleby has found his gelding another likely opening at Chelmsford City.
