Richard Hannon’s six-year-old was last seen chasing home Ostilio in a Group 2 at Longchamp in October and has gone well in the past when returns from a long break.
Ryan Moore travels to the Midlands for this one mount and with front-runner Michele Strogoff lining up, there should be a good pace to attack. Hathal quickened nicely to score over course and distance four weeks ago and should go close.

If Taunton beats the weather SILVER QUAY is strongly fancied to defy a 10lb rise for his facile success over course and distance under today’s jockey Bryony Frost.

Logic in racing can sometimes go out the window, but Seconda lost to Zapper Cass (tonight’s rival) by 3 lengths two starts back and the conditions are exactly the same. Food for thought.

Hoping Alban’s Dream wins for you DC, if the (same) jockey can get the fractions right this time then he should go close, did too much up front lto finishing 3rd. I wanted to back HANAKOTOBA but he just doesnt look like he has the speed, despite all the positives. Oisin Murphy takes over the reigns, the only jockey to win on him. The trainer already beat Pink Flamingo lto with another horse and I am 99% sure he was withdrawn last week and is back in tonight, which for me isn’t a bad thing. Also, he drops back down from class 5 company… all those positives and I still cant back it. At 12/1 I rather have a £5 on an ew play, 12/1 NOT SO SHY may’ve had the perfect position lto which helped, and she was out very recently but an apprentice takes off 5 and on paper has good place claims, especially if taking an extra place, available with 365.
