THERE are four meetings on Thursday and Thommo's tips run at Exeter and Southwell.
Southwell 12.20
LIMERICK LORD has a fine record at Southwell and could have a lot of his rivals off the bridle turning for home if breaking with his usual zest. He finished just behind Boots And Spurs in an amateur riders’ event over course and distance but is more consistent that that rival.
Exeter 1.40
THE KINGS WRIT would have made a winning return to action but for falling at the last fence at Chepstow last month and should handle heavy ground at Exeter. Kayley Woollacott’s gelding scored by ten lengths over course and distance in April and looks progressive.
Exeter 3.40
KAYF CHARMER edged out Gonnabegood over course and distance last month and the runner-up has since justified favouritism back at the West Country track. Kayf Charmer has the services of Conor Smith once again in this 19-runner amateur riders’ handicap hurdle.

Nevada runs in class 6 company today off a mark of 60. His two previous handicaps have been run off 56, coming 1st and 2nd in class 5. His 2nd was to Carvelas, who was 3lbs better off, losing by 2 lengths, the winner was winning off 60 but has since done nothing off 60 and 64. Slightly more inspiring form is his neck win over Mr Carbonator, who has since finished a neck 2nd off 66 to Azari, a horse who most recently won off 70. That race was on turf and over 1f shorter, but he was impressive staying on to win that race. Luke Morris being on board is a big positive and there’s nothing wrong with stall 9 over 1m3f. The trainer doesn’t have many runners or winners, although his last win was 4 days ago at this course.

Nice to see that old general tufto ran ok on his last run today, even I was was welling up listening to his owner on Atr.
I remember his 100th run at Southwell, JohnB tipped a different horse in that race, I backed the General at 10/1 I think it was and he won.
