MARNIE JAMES (3.35) has dotted up on his last two starts and Iain Jardine is striking while the iron is hot at Ayr.
His gelding followed up a facile Hamilton success by simply toying with in-form Eeh Bah Gum at Haydock four days ago and this sun-baked surface is just what he enjoys. Marnie James carries a 6lb penalty against the likes of classy Line Of Reason, second at Beverley to Saturday’s Sandown scorer Judicial before an excellent third to Aidan O’Brien’s Battle Of Jericho and Caspian Prince at the Curragh.
PARYS MOUNTAIN (4.05) sprung a 20-1 shock at York and holds fourth horse Club Wexford. That was a decent contest and Tim Easterby’s gelding could be progressive. Whatsthemessage tried to make all before being reeled in by Ventura Knight and Balustra at Hamilton, while Jim Goldie’s Party Fears Too is feared in his hat-trick bid.
Goldie’s JESSIE ALLAN (3.05) has had a break since her saddle slipped at Hamilton but she was earlier an emphatic course and distance winner over subsequent scorer Nuns Walk. Fourth home Eternalist bolted up for the yard at Musselburgh last week.
GOLDEN JEFFREY (4.40) was travelling well within himself when losing his rider at the penultimate flight at Cartmel and this temperamental sort may be in the mood to put his best foot forward in the 1m 5f handicap. The cheek-pieces he wore at Cartmel are retained.
Kyle Of Lochalsh and Irish raider Glenbank King are previous winners of this event, while Four Kingdoms didn’t appear to stay two miles at Musselburgh when fourth to useful Bedrock. This trip is more suitable.
Course and distance scorer Luv U Whatever came home by five lengths in a lady amateur riders’ handicap and his 7lb rise is negated by a 7lb claimer.
ROBBEN RAINBOW (5.45) finished fourth to Coviglia over course and distance and has been dropped 2lb. This test is within his compass but money for Mick Easterby’s Different Journey following a wind op would be significant.
JUSTICE PLEASING (5.10) has leading prospects on his second at Thirsk and a close fifth behind Munthany at Wetherby. He doesn’t win very often but neither do his rivals, including Chepstow fourth Jaalboot. Last year’s winner Let Right Be Done isn’t one to trust but the grey has the ability if deciding to give it a go.

Any reason Joe Fanning rides Line of Reason instead of Marnie James? Seems strange when he won on it last time out.

Has finaly been droped in trip and grade. Is much beter than is current rating.
His last two race have obviously been warm ups.
Im hoping he is droped off the pace early while they go a strong gallop up front. And hes got all the ability to close on this lot.
