ACE VENTURA (2.50), formerly with Roger Varian, made a promising start over hurdles for Oliver Greenall when third to Paeceps at Market Rasen. The winner wasn’t disgraced in a Grade 2 contest at Kempton last Saturday.

MR JACK made a race of it with well-backed winner Duc De Beauchene at Plumpton 13 days ago and is worth an interest dropping in trip at Ffos Las. The third horse at Plumpton, Ding Ding, won yesterday.

last night we missed TATHMEEN another A. Brittain AW horse, it went in at 12s. Today LUCKY LODGE is out, who lost to Alan’s EPEIUS by a neck LTO., he has raised just 1lb in the same calibre race, I would advise a modest 6/1 e/w play, the horse is in good heart but quite high in the weights.
the other stable i have talked up is Derek Shaw’s and his jockey Paddy Mathers. They are AW long shot masters. The had another yesterday, after Bertie posted yday I almost mentioned SING BERTIE too him (azz actually tipped it), it was backed in from at least 50’s and went down by 1/2 a length at 14/1. They do have 2 tonight at Wolves, both probably best watched.
Oisin Murphy continues to get winners too, he has been out 7 times in the UK since the 12th and had at least 1 winner on 6 of those occaisions.

not too excited about this in all reality. it would be a spectacle I suppose but seems more of a fad than something which actually develops the sport.. i cant imagine horses travelling around the world to create some kind of super league, so i dont know what the aim is really other than to attract more interest.
