CHIVERS returns to the scene of his 15 lengths victory last month and should go close at Fontwell. The handicapper raised him 11lb and he disappointed next time at Lingfield over a longer trip. Now Chivers reverts to his best trip and course form is important around the Fontwell turns.

ON THE SLOPES built on a promising second at Plumpton to score here 23 days later. He handled soft ground well that day and is preferred to Greaneteen, an Exeter scorer for Paul Nicholls, and Gary Moore’s Fontwell bumper winner The Flying Sofa.
