DONALD McCain's Super Duty is the clear favourite for this amateur riders' three-miler. McCain was seriously thinking of running him in the RSA instead, which tells you how highly he rates the seven-year-old. He has won two of his four starts to date over fences, claiming novice events at Plumpton and Taunton on his two most recent outings. Also Alfie Sherrin and Merry King are potential players if they don’t run in the Specialty on Tuesday. Prince Of Pirates is versatile and goes on any ground. The recent form has been quite good but not amazing. Becauseicouldntsee, just 2lb higher than when finishing second to Sunnyhillyboy in last year's renewal, is one of the horses to take into account.
Frisco Depot is another contender following his eye-catching run over a too sharp 2m5f behind Ballynagour at Warwick.
Romanesco needs 25 horses to drop out in order to make the cut. If this horse will run, it could be a good option at big price.
Lost Glory, Toner Doudairies, No Secrets, Galaxy Rock and Harry The Viking are able to run for a place, and potentially more than a place.
But there are a lot of horses with real chances here, so we can expect big surprises.
