AFTER Wednesday's card bonanza it was a no bet day yesterday but back tonight and my main focus again will be in Scotland as joint bottom Falkirk travel west to play Morton at Cappielow.

It's a return to his former employers for Bairns boss Ray McKinnon who walked out on Morton a the start of the season. There is certainly no love lost between the two protagonists and with McKinnon sure to come on for plenty of abuse tonight.

On the pitch though Falkirk are one of the league's form teams and look way overpriced.

Greenock Morton vs Falkirk (7.05pm)

A crucial game for both clubs, a win for the hosts takes them well clear of any concerns about being dragged into the relegation mix and will strengthen their play-off ambitions.

Falkirk, meanwhile, are joint bottom with only goal difference keeping them above Partick Thistle at the moment but their lowly position hides two things, their recent form and just how bad they must have been earlier in the season to be on the run they are on but still be joint bottom.

They are unbeaten in 2019 and since beating Ayr United away (who were top at the time) they have played 6 games, winning three and drawing 3 and it looks like their January recruitment is paying dividends with only Dundee United and Ross County collecting more points this year.

Morton got a much-needed win last weekend against a QoS side who are on a horrible run and have now lost 5 on the spin so it's difficult to look into that too much. It was a much-needed win for under fire Ton's boss Jonatan Johansson who I don't believe has the fans on board.

Falkirk are a big price to win at 5-2 and it's hard to ignore Falkirk's impressive run of results. Morton are quite a stuffy team to beat at home, their last 4 games have seen just 2 goals and with 8 of their last 10 going under 2.5 goals its likely to be another close encounter.

Momentum is with Falkirk though and I'm taking them to not tolose here. Not the greatest price but has a good chance of landing. They are scoring goals and the goal before 70 mins looks strong.

Recommended Bets

  • Falkirk Double Chance
  • 4/6 (Bet365) (NAP)
  • Falkirk goal before 70 mins
  • 5/6 (Bet365)

Really unlucky again in France Ligue 2 last week as the 40/1 over 1.5 goals fell short by just two goals.

Will be on again tonight and first half goals.

There are also 5 Austrian Liga 2 matches worth looking at for goals and early goals at 6.10pm.
