Trabzonspor to Score 2+
Trabzonspor will look to extend their lead at the top of the Turkish Süper Lig as they host bottom side Yeni Malatyaspor at Medical Park Stadyumu.
Trabzonspor come into this fixture in good form, with Abdullah Avci’s side winning 10 of their last 12 in the league, losing just the once.
Same cannot be said for Yeni Malatyaspor, as their 2-0 loss away to Fenerbahçe last time out extended their winless run to nine in the Süper Lig, losing six of those matches.
Trabzonspor are the league’s top scorer’s with 36 and I’m expecting them to score at least twice at home to a Yeni Malatyaspor side who have the joint worst defensive record in the division.
Helmond Sport vs Dordrecht – Over 2.5 Goals
Two sides at the wrong end of the table meet at the SolarUnie Stadion, as 16th placed Helmond Sport host bottom side Dordrecht.
Helmond ended 2021 with two draws and a victory from their last three games, whilst Dordrecht put a stop to their five match losing streak by drawing at home to Excelsior.
Dordrecht remain the only side in the Dutch Eerste Divisie yet to keep a clean sheet, with the Sheep Heads also having the worst defensive record, conceding 49 goals, with 29 of them coming in their 10 away games.
Dordrecht have managed to score in all bar one of their away games to date and given all 10 of their matches have seen at least three goals, I’m happy to back over 2.5 goals here.
Sporting CP to Score 2+
Reigning Portuguese champions Sporting CP make the trip to the Azores as they take on Santa Clara at the Estádio de São Miguel.
Sporting CP come into this behind Porto at the top of Liga NOS only on goal difference, with Rúben Amorim’s men dropping just four points all season.
Santa Clara lost 2-1 to midtable Paços de Ferreira last time out meaning only Tondela (11) have lost more games in Liga NOS than Os Acoreanos.
Sporting come into this winning each of their last 11 in the league and I’m backing them to score at least twice here against a Santa Clara side who have the second worst defensive record in Portugal.
Manchester City to Score 3+
Manchester City’s quest to win their 7th FA Cup begins on Friday night as they take on League 2 Swindon at the County Ground.
City came from behind to win 1-2 at the Emirates time out, making it 11 successive wins in the Premier League for Pep Guardiola’s side and putting them 10 points clear of 2nd placed Chelsea.
Swindon got their first win in five last time out, as they defeated fellow promotion hopefuls Northampton 5-2, to put them just two points outside the automatic promotion places.
73 places separate these two side in the English football pyramid and even with rotation, Manchester City should be far too strong for Ben Garner’s side and I’d be surprised if City don’t score at least three goals here.
