It has been a bad week for West Ham United and it could get worse tonight as they take on Leeds United in what looks like a relegation six-pointer.
I fancied the Hammers to get a much-needed win against Brentford on Monday but instead they turned in their worst performance of the season and were lucky to lose just 2-0.
That defeat has left them sitting second bottom of the Premier League but they can cut the gap on Leeds to a point if they can win at Elland Road tonight.
Leeds United vs West Ham United top betting tips
After such an awful West Ham performance on Monday night, backing a Leeds win could pay off, although the price isn’t great at just 5/6 with BOYLE Sports.
Adding on over 1.5 goals boosts the odds to 5/4, while betting on Daniel Farke’s team to win the first half pays 6/4.
Leeds aren’t in great form themselves, with just one win in their last eight, but Spurs are the only team to have beaten them at home.
Farke’s side have either won or drawn in the corner count in all their games at Elland Road so that’s another market worth exploring.
You have to back Leeds at –3 in the corner handicap to reach 5/4 at Bet365 so over 10 match corners might be safer at 6/5.
Preston North End vs Sheffield United
Sheffield United are finally showing some signs of life in the EFL Championship and will be looking to make it three wins in a row at Preston tonight.
The Blades lost nine of their first 10 games in all competitions but victories over Watford and Blackburn have got them going.
They now face a Preston side who have lost their last two Championship games after a superb start that saw them lose just two of their first 12 matches.
The bookies are sitting on the fence for this one, with Preston 9/5 at BOYLE Sports and Sheffield United priced at 17/10.
The Blades have won the last four meetings so it could pay to back them to keep up the revival tonight.
It should be a close game though and I fancy most goals to come after the break at 11/10 with BOYLE Sports. That bet has landed in seven of the last eight games involving Sheffield United.
Real Sociedad vs Sevilla
Real Sociedad have made a poor start to the new season and head into tonight’s clash with Sevilla looking for just their second win.
The Basque side had a disappointing campaign last term, finishing 11th, and that bad form has continued.
A 1-0 home win over Mallorca a month ago is their only triumph so far, yet BOYLE Sports make them evens favourites tonight against Sevilla, who are 3/1 outsiders.
Those odds look a little off, given Sevilla’s form have racked up four wins so far this term, including a 4-1 thrashing of champions Barcelona.
Sevilla have also won their last three away games so they could be worth a punt at such a big price.
I’m going to play it a bit safer and back them in the one goal ahead market at 6/5 with BOYLE Sports. That bet pays out if they take the lead at any point.
