I'd like to start with an apology for the lack of posts over the last two days. We've had some more technical troubles but hopefully things are back on track as we look forward to some Friday night football.

Coventry City are racing clear at the top of the EFL Championship and will be looking to make it seven wins in a row when they visit Wrexham.

Frank Lampard has done a remarkable job since taking over and another victory tonight would move the Sky Blues six points clear at the top.

Wrexham will be looking to trip them up but Phil Parkinson’s side head into this game on a downer after losing a Welsh derby to Cardiff in the EFL Cup.

Wrexham vs Coventry City top betting tips

Wrexham had been in decent form before that loss to Cardiff, losing just one of their previous eight matches.

But they were outplayed by the vibrant Bluebirds, who passed and pressed them off the pitch, and now face a side in similar spirits.

So Coventry look worthy 10/11 favourites and you can boost their odds to 13/10 by adding on over 1.5 goals.

Three of Coventry’s last four games have hit double figures for corners so over 10.5 flag kicks is another good option at 20/21 with BOYLE Sports.

Ayr United vs Dunfermline Athletic

There’s action in the SPFL Championship tonight as well as Dunfermline head to Somerset Park for a clash with Ayr United.

The dugout battle will be fascinating as Neil Lennon goes up against Scott Brown, his former captain at Celtic.

They’ve pitted wits against other twice as managers, with Ayr drawing 1-1 at East End Park last season then winning 1-0 in Fife earlier this term.

Both matches were tense and bad-tempered affairs, so I’d be surprised if we were treated to classic tonight.

The half-time draw looks good at evens with BOYLE Sports, while under 2.5 strikes is a bit shorter at 4/6.

We didn’t see a single corner when these sides faced off earlier this season and that makes under 8.5 flag kicks worth a look tonight at 7/5.

Luton Town vs Forest Green Rovers

The FA Cup first round gets underway tonight with a cracking tie between Luton Town and Forest Green.

Robbie Savage has made a superb start to life as Rovers boss and has them sitting just two points behind National League leaders Rochdale.

But BOYLE Sports make his side 6/1 outsiders tonight as they bid to claim the scalp of League One Luton.

The Hatters could be a bit vulnerable after suffering back-to-back relegations and the only sit mid-table in League One.

They’ve claimed two wins in a row after a run of four games without a victory and should go through with home advantage.

But Forest Green will have a go and they’ve scored two or more goals in their last four outings. So I’m going to combine BTTS and over 2.5 goals, which pays 6/5 at BOYLE Sports.

FA Cup ties often produce plenty of corners and the pitch at Kenilworth Road is pretty tight. So over 10.5 corners looks worth a punt tonight at 10/11 with Bet365.
