IT'S days like Tuesday that tell me we should move from being football tipsters to quiz masters.

It was possibly the quietest 24 hours since lockdown but it's only a couple more days to Belarus action.

I might be wrong but I didn't see one tip on the site so luckily we have come up with another quiz.

This time it's on football kits so give it a go here and let us know how you score. I reckon 10 out of 20 would be pretty good.

Wednesday is April Fool's Day and I usually put up a spoof story but not in the current climate.

As far as betting goes there are games from Nicaragua and their Under-20 league so you may see some tips posted.

It won't be from me and I'd be daft to have a bet.

Leagues Tipped:

Just a wee follow up from yesterdays chat regarding the extension of the current football leagues here in the UK. If this has been said before then apologies if i’m covering old ground.

Lets look at the Scandinavian leagues as an example. If they start later than usual does this mean they won’t be able to finish the end of their season further down the line. Our leagues will hopefully finish off when it suits all teams which means a short summer and an even longer season for all players. I can’t see the SPL allowing a winter break next season.

Maybe the governing bodies will allow teams to have bigger squads and more subs just for next season only to allow more games to be played to catch up.

Or i might just be wishing to hard….

Wrestlemania is on Saturday night/sunday morning live on bt sport ( behind closed doors) £20 pay per view.

You can bet on this if you’re desperate.
The undertaker is 1-4 to win, jeez, he must be in his 60s, remember his in the late 80s with his manager Paul bearer 😁.

    Odds below, unbelievable Jeff.

Proud to say I used to watch it a lot in late 90s and early 200s and my lad loves it now. He follows taker on Instagram and only turned 56 this last week. Your right he been going forever. For what it’s worth at his age I’d be looking for him to put over A J styles and do what’s right for business as they say so value would lie with AJ styles. Csnt believe wwe is the betting plan for the weekend but there we go 🤣🤣

    Nicaragua premier.
    Ko 01-00 Thursday .
    Managua v real esteli.
    Btts EVENS (hills) NAP.

    1st v 2nd clash here.
Managua have won 9 of their last 10 homes., the last 4 being Btts and win.
Esteli have the best defence in the league, diriangan did have but lost 2-1 at Managua last weekend.
Esteli away form is patchy at best going back over the last year but have scored in 11 of last 13 h2h in Managua.

    Prediction 1-1 or 2-1.

UEFA state tht the season will not be voided and will be finished before the next season begins.

    However long it takes

Champions league and Europa finals behind closed doors

    • maccathered 4 years ago

I said this yesterday,it was already agreed that the season will not voided as there is to much at stake.Voiding was never an issue that was Karen Brady and the Media.

    • old al 4 years ago

Voiding was always an option, in truth no one knows where we’ll be at the end of this or indeed when, so it’s all speculation anyway unless UEFA knows something the rest of the world doesn’t. I admire your optimism with your daily up dates though, gives us all hope!

    • maccathered 4 years ago

If voiding was an option they would have done so by now,if they voided this season then how would they determine who qualifies for the Champions league and Europa league respectively.

    • maccathered 4 years ago

El goon will be upset by this

    • jstuhhs 4 years ago

UEFA dont know anymore thatn anyone else when we will be finished with this virus and when the season will restart and when it will finish.

AS for speculation macca is right with the comment that they could have voided the season last week now or next week but saying that the season will be now completed whenever is not speculation but a definite answer.

      The only people that will be upset with this decision will be those fighting relegation. {Karen Brady and others i hope they will find life in the Championship to their liking}

    • old al 4 years ago

It was an option the powers that be are choosing not to take at the moment which you would expect. A lot of these statements are for the press and to be seen to be doing something, to repeat, no one knows.

    • jstuhhs 4 years ago

You are 100% right Al no one knows They are just saying for certain IT WILL BE COMPLETED nobody knows when

This season could be voided by the end Of July.
Tv companies won’t want 2 seasons ruined.
If next season is cut back they won’t be paying for a full season and that has a knock on effect on the club’s that have been daft enough to factor tv money into their budgets.
Clubs would be better off if this season is written off.
At least they will get the full tv money for next Season.
If they say just play each other once next season from December onwards say, tv companies will only be paying clubs half the dosh clubs have budgeted for.

There has been talk of cancelling all leagues across europe and completing this champions league and Europa League next season, probably bullshit but these are strange times.
Also talk of carling cup being played by under 23 teams, no Fa cup replays, scrapping international dates to accommodate a later start date of leagues and with the euro championships in 2021 in mind to save player burn out.

I Can imagine teams being relegated in a farcical behind closed doors ending in October to December launching court cases as they will say they will have lost to teams with no fans there yet other teams will have played already home and away in front of packed grounds, in other words it’s not a level playing field, clubs that are saying season must be completed now will change their tune if they are relegated or just miss out on a champions league spot.

I don’t think there will be any football of any nature before September, my brother is a local councillor in these parts and the consensus at the moment is that schools won’t even contemplate opening until September/October at the earliest and all leisure facilities are included in this, and this is a best case scenario.

The virus hasn’t remotely taken hold yet, we were 3 weeks too late in lockdown procedures.

In China they had full lockdown straight away, you were only allowed to open your door 3 times a day, never mind go out.
South Korea followed suit and they haven’t suffered too greatly.

Carlton Palmer, remember him, was on talk sport today, he now lives in China, has been following goings on here and he said we are in for the long haul here due to the dithering of our government, probably the British it won’t happen to us attitude that is going to cost us lots of unnecessary deaths down the line.

On another topic are you happy to be contributing as a taxpayer towards paying Tottenham’s club staff through furlough when Daniel Levi awards himself 7 million a year and God knows how much his players are on, piece of crap he is, Mike Ashley the same too.

    • oneoff 4 years ago

Unreally about prem football clubs trying to get tax payers money. And the pampered w..kers who kick a bag of wind about not taking pay cuts. How are they even still getting paid nevermind pay cut.I don’t like the mayor of london but 1 thing i agree with him about these footballer’s taking a pay cut.

My 2 tuppences worth, If they do void the season the English bubble bursts with teams trying to claim back millions, sky/bt no paying out etc. Hopefully it’s all sorted by July latest just so I get ma holiday. My dad phoned to try book hotel direct after flights already booked for September and hotel told they can’t take any bookings til after October, that was Benidorm so no holding out much hope for mine even tho just need flights

  16. lossie jim 4 years ago

They’re already cancelling events in August and September, not a chance of next season starting this year, plenty of time to get this season’s league’s and cup’s done both domestic and European!!

    • elvis parsley 4 years ago

That would probably mean there would be no next season at all if football starts in December and this season is completed which could bankrupt lots of clubs.
      It’s a fekkin mess innit.

  17. lossie jim 4 years ago

It’s going to end up being far from just a sporting problem. I’ve been saying to anyone who would listen they should start building up the staff numbers at unemployment benefit centres in time for brexit, with the double whammy effect with this virus as well, they better re-double their efforts unfortunately, and who knows I could be one.

Good piece in the Guardian a few days ago about Nicaraguan football. Players are petrified but the owners, some pretty shady dudes by the sound of it, are insistent that they play.
