Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on England’s match with the USA, and I’m expecting them to maintain their perfect start.

England will look to seal their place in the knockout stages of the tournament as they take on the USA at the Al-Bayt Stadium on Friday evening.
Following a disappointing Nations League campaign in which they failed to win any of their six matches – which subsequently saw them relegated to League B – many thought England would struggle to break down a usually defensively sound Iranian defence in their World Cup opener. However, Gareth Southgate’s side put in arguably the performance of the tournament so far, defeating Iran by six goals to two.
After failing to qualify for Russia four years earlier, the USA returned to the World Cup finals and began their campaign in Qatar with a 1-1 draw against Wales in a match that was a game of two halves. The Stars and Stripes were impressive in the first half and took the lead through Timothy Weah (son of George Weah), but Wales dominated in the second half and deservedly got back on level terms thanks to a Gareth Bake penalty.
Bet of the Day
England will come into this fixture full of confidence following their 6-2 demolition of Iran on Monday, and I am expecting them to be too strong for a USA side that really struggled in the second half of their group opener against Wales.
To go alongside the win, I’m more than happy to add in England to score at least two goals. The Three Lions are stacked with plenty of attacking talent, and whilst I’m not expecting them to repeat their six-goal haul that they achieved against Iran, I expect them to score at least twice against a USA side that is far better going forward than they are defensively.
