Dumbarton will look to maintain their 100% start to their league campaign, as they travel to Stair Park to take on second from bottom Stranraer on Tuesday evening.
Stranraer come into this having suffered back-to-back defeats away from home, as they followed up their 3-1 loss at Stenhousemuir by losing 4-1 at second-placed Stirling Albion at the weekend. Jamie Hamill’s side have now not won since a 1-0 victory over Annan Athletic on the opening day of the season – a run of six matches. No side in the fourth-tier in Scotland has conceded more goals than Stranraer, with The Blues having conceded 15 goals this season – conceding on multiple occasions in each of their last six.
Dumbarton made it seven wins from seven to begin this season, as they won 1-0 at home to reigning Lowland League champions Bonnyrigg Rose on Saturday. Stephen Farrell’s side currently sit 10 points clear of both Stirling Albion (2nd) and East Fife (3rd), as they bit to make an immediate return to League One. No side has scored more goals in League Two this season than Dumbarton, with The Sons having struck 15 goals in seven matches – netting on multiple occasions in each of their four matches against sides positioned in fifth and below.
