Saturdays Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the MLS. It involves a game which looks good for goals at both ends and a side that should be too strong for their visitors.
New York Red Bulls vs New England Revolution
🇺🇸 MLS
⏰ Saturday 31st July, 23:00
New York RB host New England at Red Bull Arena on Saturday evening in an all Eastern Conference meeting. The Red Bulls sit in 9th position and four points outside the play offs whereas New England sit top and seven points clear.
New York come into this winless in their last three games. The Red bulls have struggled on their travels but are much stronger at Red Bull Arena. They’ve scored 10 of their 18 goals at home scoring in all six games. New York have conceded in 10 of their 14 including their last four on the bounce.
New England come into this off the back of three successive victories scoring eight goals. New England are the leagues top goalscorers scoring 30 times in 16 games. 16 of those goals have came in their nine away games with the revs only failing to score in one of those games. New England have conceded 11 of their 19 goals away from home.
Sporting Kansas City vs FC Dallas
🇺🇸 MLS
⏰ Sunday 1st August, 01:30
Sporting KC host Dallas at Children’s Mercy Park in the early hours of Sunday morning in an all Western Conference meeting. The hosts sit two points behind Seattle at the top, although they do have a game in hand. Dallas are positioned in 10th, six points outside the play offs.
Sporting KC come into this off the back of an impressive 1-3 victory away to Seattle Sounders. They’ve scored in 14 of their 15 games this season scoring 28 times. At home, KC have scored in all eight games scoring 12 goals. The hosts have scored 2+ in five of their eight games so far.
Dallas come into this off the back of their most impressive performance of the season defeating the LA Galaxy 4-0 at Toyota Stadium. However, Dallas have struggled badly on their travels losing all seven games, conceding 15 times and scoring just twice. Dallas have conceded 2+ in five of their 7 games on the road.
Bet of the Day
The Red Bulls have struggled on the road this season but are a different animal at home. New England are the leagues top goalscorers and have actually scored more on the road. I’m expecting goals with both sides netting. Sporting KC are the leagues second top scorers and should score at least 2 against a Dallas side who are pointless on their travels.
