Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Turkish Süper Lig, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two of the most entertaining sides in the Turkish top flight go head-to-head at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Tuesday evening as 9th-placed Fatih Karagümrük host 8th-placed Kayserispor in a match that should see goals.
Fatih Karagümrük are the fifth-highest scorers in the Turkish Süper Lig this term, scoring 69 goals, with 35 of those coming on home soil. Alparslan Erdem’s hosts have found the back of the net in 14/16 of their league matches as hosts – scoring on multiple occasions in 10 (63%) of them – and will be confident of troubling a Kayserispor defence that has recorded just two clean sheets on their travels this season, conceding two or more goals in eight of their previous nine.
Çağdaş Atan’s visitors have scored 54 goals in the Turkish top flight this campaign, with 26 of those coming on their travels. The Anatolian Star have made the net bulge in 11 of their previous 13 league outings on the road – striking on multiple occasions in five of their last seven – and will look to breach a Karagümrük defence that has registered just one clean sheet in front of their supporters this term, conceding 31 goals.

Over 3.5 Gpals has banked in a league-high 19/33 (58%) of Fatih Karagümrük’s Turkish Süper Lig fixtures this season – and given there’s been a minimum of four strikes in nine of Kayserispor’s previous 13 league assignments on the road – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be four or more goals in Istanbul in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
