Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the fixture that rounds off round 13 in Ligue 1, and I’m expecting a thriller.

Lyon welcome Lille to the Groupama Stadium on Sunday evening in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
Laurent Blanc claimed his first win as Lyon boss last weekend as his side scored late on to defeat Montpellier 1-2. Despite their poor season, Les Gones have won four of their six fixtures at home this season – with only PSG leaving the Groupama with all three points. Lyon have found the back of the net in 10/12 of their league fixtures this season, scoring on 21 occasions. However, Lyon have struggled defensively this term, having recorded just a solitary clean sheet in Ligue 1 this season.
Lille defeated fellow European rivals Monaco last week in what was a seven-goal thriller. That’s now three wins on the spin for Paulo Fonseca’s side to climb them up into sixth position in the table, just two points off Rennes in fourth. Lille have found the back of the net in all 12 of their Ligue 1 tussles this season, with only PSG (36) scoring more than their tally of 25. However, Lille have only managed to keep two clean sheets in Ligue 1 this season.
Bet of the Day
Lyon secured their first win under new coach Laurent Blanc last time out but face a tough task against a Lille side that’s won each of their last three. Both clubs have been scoring plenty of goals this season but have been suspect defensively. Therefore, we should see an entertaining fixture full of goals.
Collectively, Over 2.5 goals has landed in 18/24 of the pair’s Ligue 1 this season and given both teams' records at both ends of the pitch, we should see at least three goals with both sides contributing.
