SOME people have been asking about the price on a Liverpool and Man United correct-score double on Sunday and Ladbrokes have revealed it was 48,460-1.
Spurs won 6-1 at 160-1 Old Trafford before Aston Villa thumped the champions 7-2 at 300-1 and not surprisingly no one backed it but eight gallus punters were on the Spurs' single.
The United battering has left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in dangerous territory with 11-10 being the price on him being sacked before Christmas. He is 1-2 to survive until then.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Jose Mourinho exacted perfect revenge on his former employers much to the delight of lucky punters who correctly predicted the freak result before a ball was even kicked.”
Solskjaer is now 15-8 with Coral to be the first Premier League manager to go this season with Fulham's Scott Parker topping the betting at 7-4. Burnley's Sean Dyche is 6-1, while Pep Guardiola is available at 16-1.

“Ole continues to shorten in our next Premier League manager to leave market following his side's embarrassing defeat to Tottenham. The United boss is odds-on not to be at Old Trafford at the end of the season.”

Meanwhile, Everton have set their own Premier League betting record according to Ladbrokes.

The Toffees have enjoyed a sensational start to the season and sit pretty at the top of the table as the only side to win their opening four games.
And that's seen their odds of winning the title slashed to just 14-1 – the shortest price they've ever been to win the Premier League.
Carlo Ancelotti's men are third favourites to win the league behind only Liverpool (6-5) and Manchester City (6-4).
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It looks like anything and everything is going to happen in this year's Premier League and while the frontrunners are dropping points left, right and centre Everton are quietly going about their business and pulling clear at the top of the table.”
Ladbrokes go 7-1 a new team is added to the list of Premier League winners by the end of the season.
Everton, who were 250-1 before a ball was kicked this season, are down to 14-1 and Aston Villa (previously 1000-1) are 80-1.
With six players already on four or more goals this season, 5-1 says Mo Salah's record of 32 goals in a 38-game Premier League campaign is bettered this year, while it's 10-1 any team nets 10 or more goals in a single game.
The latter seems short but Villa could easily have done that against the champs.

Speaking of Everton, their early price at B365 to win the Merseyside derby on Oct 17th has got to be worth considering at 3/1. DC Everton is 1/1.

Looks all right but they haven’t a derby I think for 10 years.
I’m sure there will be a response from Liverpool and could depend who comes back fit and well after the break.
Also key is whether Alisson will be playing or poor old Adrian.

Yes, Liverpool a wounded lion ready to wreak havoc on the first available victim?

You’re right, MrF, the last time Everton won the league derby was…17th October 2010! Exactly a decade down the line they meet again.

Haha. Sounds like an omen. Looking forward to maccathered’s thoughts on the game.

i think apart from adrian’s error he was unlucky with 3 huge deflections. but villa deserved the match no doubt. maybe chelsea have a chance of the title yet (pleeeease) ! glad to see everton make a decent start and good to see leeds back. they need to be in the prem and spice it up a bit.

after the international break i see more of the same carnage. injuries on duty and destroyed confidence will allow for a couple more weeks of mayhem before it starts settling down. avoid those acca bankers for now….i know i will !
    good luck tp all
