AFTER four out of five on my Scottish both teams to score line for the past few weeks I finally got the fivefold up on Saturday.

I picked the matches between Forfar v East Fife, Queen's Park v East Stirling, Queen of the South v Morton, Brechin v Stirling and Rangers v St Mirren for a return of  £143.50 to a £10 stake at Stan James.

So it was a sweet success after so many close calls and I'm so glad I didn't take the Stenhousemuir v Airdrie game – it was the only one out of 15 in the SFL where both teams didn't score.

Buoyed by that success I'm off and running with my Sunday fivefold. I'm kicking off with Schalke v Hannover – a game I need to bring up my Euro treble in the newsletter after successes at Novara and Wolfsburg on Saturday.

We were all backing goals in the Europa League games involving the sides in midweek – and there were – so there's every reason to believe both will score when they meet on Sunday.

It was 2-2 at Hannover earlier in the season and both teams have been on target in four of the last five both have played in the Bundesliga.

Schalke always threaten when Raul and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar are on the park – both scoring away to Athletic Bilbao during their Euro exit – while Hannover gave it their best shot against Atletico Madrid, losing both legs 2-1.

Next up it's Real Mallorca v Granada. It was 2-2 when they clashed back in December and Mallorca's last five – barring Barcelona – have seen both teams score.

Granada are hovering just above the drop zone but are just two points beind Real and were boosted last time out with a 1-0 win away to Zaragoza. In their previous trip to Barcelona they netted three times while conceding five so undoubtedly have the potential to score on the holiday island.

My next pick is the Dutch Cup Final between PSV and Heracles. PSV are big favourites to win but interestingly they have kept just one clean sheet in 20 games.

You don't know what you'll get withe debut finalists Heracles. Last week they were thrashed 6-0 at Ajax a week after winning 4-2 at AZ Alkmaar.

Dutch games in general produce goals and hopefully both will score here and make it a showpiece to remember.

Closer to home I'm focusing on Hibs v Motherwell. It was 4-3 when they met last time out at Fir Park and there has also been a 2-2 this season.

Hibs hit three at Inverness with strikers Leigh Griffiths and Garry O'Connor on target and Well have plenty of dangermen on the field in the shape of Henrik Ojamaa, Michael Higdon and Jamie Murphy.

Let's finish off in Norway with Molde v Brann. This is one that catches my eye due to the history of the both teams.

Six of the last seven meetings have seen both score and in those games there were 21 goals. Brann have started the season with two 3-1 games (a win and a defeat) while Molde's last six in all competion and has seen both net in five of them.

There was a mistake on the website I checked so this is a Monday game. If you can't wait for it consider putting in Arsenal v Man City instead.

Both teams to score

Schalke v Hannover (2.30pm)

Real Mallorca v Granada (3pm)

PSV v Heracles (5pm)

Hibs v Motherwell (12.30pm)

Molde v Brann (Monday, 7pm)

Perm any 4 and all 5 (6 bets)

    I got the Liverpool 1 – Villa 1 @ 8/1 correct,pity I never put it on.

My girlfriend was one goal away from @ 50/1 shot on BTTS, typical women though only had a £1 on it!!

Thought you would have went for Arsenal v City on your coupon.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Mark, I try to keep it to Saturdays if possible and start again tomorrow.

  4. Mark T 12 years ago

Sorry I meant on your BTTS for tomorrow

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Mark, thinking Arsenal and Man City will both score but recent meetings have been low scorers and City haven’t scored there in the league for four years.

Well done Paul but as you know I rely on walk in bookies, forever missing out when the lowers Scott’s come in.
It’s an insult I reckon, the Scott’s 1,2 and 3 divisions should be on all shop coupons, covering all markets.
Lower leauge Scott’s footy shouldnt be ignored by bookies shops , it’s an insult to all the teams and supporters
William Hill in particular choose to ignore them but will include all other lower European leagues.
Have a word Paul to those idiots at Hills, I’m English and I love Scottish footy.
And yep I’m pissed off cos I back all of Paul’s tips on the bts market.
A British bookies ignoring our Scottish brothers.

      Well said Tony

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Tony, as I’ve said before you can do the Scots btts in shops but have to write them on a blank slip.

We’re used to being ignored in general tony, so it’s nice to have you on side :)
