RANGERS will be hoping for a Champions League repeat as they bid to dump PSV Eindhoven in the play-offs for a second year running.

But the Dutch side presents an even tougher challenge this year while Gers are a team in transition after a huge summer rebuild.

And that’s why McBookie make PSV 4/7 hot favourites to reach the group stage, with Michael Beale’s team 5/4 outsiders.

The picture will become clearer after tonight’s first leg at Ibrox and I’d be surprised if Peter Bosz’s side sat back after battering Sturm Graz home and away in the last round.

They scored seven times across the two legs so going for goals looks the best option for punters tonight.

BTTS is tiny at 8/15 with McBookie while over 2.5 goals isn’t much better at 4/6. So I’m going for over 1.5 first-half goals and that pays 13/8 at Bet365.

The same firm are also offering 5/6 on the first goal coming before 27 minutes and that could be worth a look too.

The other play-off ties tonight see Polish side Raków Czestochowa host Copenhagen and AEK Athens head to Antwerp.

I’m going for a BTTS double for that and it pays 215/100 with McBookie.

There’s also a League One clash tonight as Falkirk take on Stirling Albion.

The Binos have made a flying start after promotion and ran Aberdeen close in the League Cup on Friday.

Falkirk are also in decent form so going for goals looks the best shout here.

BTTS and over 2.5 goals are both odds-on but if you combine them in a bet builder it takes you just above evens.

Tonight's Champions League Tips

  • Super single: Over 1.5 first-half goals at Ibrox (13/8, Bet365). BTTS double: Rakow v Copenhagen and Antwerp v AEK (215/100, McBookie).
  • McBookie bet builder: Combining BTTS and over 2.5 goals at Falkirk pays 107/100.
