MAN UNITED should see off Schalke to take their place in the Champions League Final – but bookies have already made Barcelona heavy favourites to win the trophy.

Barca completed a two-legged 3-1 win against fierce foes Real Madrid to book their Wembley place and are 4-9 with Ladbrokes to go all the way. United are 13-8.

United blew away Schalke 2-0 in Germany and are a best 4-9 with the likes of Hills, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power to win the second leg at Old Trafford and no better than 1-200 to qualify.

Schalke are 7-1 with Hills and Paddy Power to score a shock success in Manchester and 40-1 with Ladbrokes to qualify. Paddy Power go 35-1 they will force extra time by winning 2-0.

Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez are set to be rested ahead of the weekend crunch with Chelsea and that means a start for Dimitar Berbatov who is 9-2 at Ladbrokes and bet365 to score first. If you're a Raul fan you can have 10-1 with bet365 on the tournament's record scorer.

The Barca v Real second leg was a pretty tame affair and it could be the same at Old Trafford. I can't see United busting a gut with that title decider against Chelsea on Sunday while Schalke don't look capable of turning it round.

Go for under 2.5 goals at 21-20 with Ladbrokes.

Going back to Barca and William Hill go 16-1 the Spaniards will win this season's Champions League – and the next two.

Spokesman Graham Sharpe said: “Barca are looking virtually unbeatable at the moment and could dominate the competition for the next few seasons.”

Barca are 5-1 to win two in a row and 11-4 to keep a clean sheet in the Final.

Lionel Messi is 20-1 to hit a hat-trick in the Wembley showdown.

United v Schalke under 2.5 goals

(21-20, Ladbrokes)
