THE biggest of all the tennis Grand Slam events is just two days away and hopefully we'll have a tennis tipster on board for Wimbledon fortnight to add to the excellent tips Johnb will put up.
If you like your sport played with furry balls and know all about players from Almagro to Zeballos then get in touch. Of course you'll also need to be able to spot value in the betting markets too in order to help our members turn a profit from all the action at SW19.
I'll need you to mark our card every day, giving us the best advice and tips with some sound reasoning.
If you're up for the challenge and think you can deliver some winning shots either leave a comment below or drop me an email at hello@mrfixitstips.co.uk.
@JOHNB is the man hope he will not be busy.
Thanks androkabro I will be posting for Wimbledon as its a tournament I never miss and never too busy for
Johnb, I’ll hopefully put up some tennis tips – will be watching enough of it anyway.
Well done with today’s double that I wasn’t on as usual.
Thanks mr f, yes it was a decent double, last few days have been a lot better
I was looking at Nottingham and a couple of players stood out but need to check something about one of them, but the player I like in one half of the draw is ANDREAS SEPPI
decent record on grass and played well in Halle in the quarterfinals when beat by Florent Mayer, last year SEPPI was beaten in the final of Halle by Roger Federer in another close game, in that tournament he beat Tommy Haas, Tommy Robredo, Gael Monfils & Kei Nishikori,
Monfils and Nishikori both retired but SEPPI was leading in both matches,
He also took a set 6-1 off Andy Murray at last years Wimbledon
He has the game for grass including his serve, his main threat and hardest game should be his next match against Adrian Mannarino
SEPPI has just won 7-5 6-3 today in the second round and is 20/1 betfred
No other bookies have odds yet until today’s play is over
ATP NOTTINGHAM
ANDREAS SEPPI 20/1 e/w betfred
Can’t see it on there now has it been suspended on BetFred too?
They might have until today’s play is over, I will post when odds come back up
Thought a guy going on Instagram was great however he stopped posting his tips one day and hasn’t since although his account is still active. Someone should get in touch, guy had a great eye for tennis
matthew, not really interested in chasing up someone but thanks anyway.
I’m up for that

Wta eastbourne today
Errani takes on petkovic
I make the German slight favourite but errani is more than capable of winning this match and is great value at 9/4 bet365
Errani to win 1 pt @ 9/4
Lost
Errani lost the first set 1-6 but she only got going towards the end, she than raced into a 5-1 lead in the second set eventually winning it 6-3, she took an early lead in the 3rd going 3-0 up but petkovic dug in and made some big shots to get back into the set, errani was broken when she served for the match at 5-4 and petkovic went on to win the match, despite losing it was a good run for my money
Looking forwaed to this

Bet 1 has won
Was going to do all four to win in straight sets but took the less risky option but all four games finished 2-0
Bet 2 is waiting on karolina pliskova cover is available but I expect her to do the business
Bet 3 currently in play
Now that everyone has odds for Nottingham SEPPI is a best price 16/1 boylesports
ATP Nottingham
Sela v Becker
SELA to win 13/10 betvictor
NO Tiebreak in match 1/1 NAP coral
SELA has one of the best return of serves on grass outside the top 4 player, he breaks serve 1 in 4 games
Becker leads the head to head 4-3 but one of those SELA retired at 1 set all and 3-2
More importantly though SELA has won the last 3 meetings
In their 7 meetings their have been 17.5 sets and only one tiebreak and that was in their vey first grass court meeting in 2009
Becker has had back problems recently and with the amount of tennis he is playing, it has to catch up with him

Nice win for Andreas Seppi 6-2 6-3
Mannarino was the favourite
SEPPI now plays Sela or Becker in the quarterfinals
@johnb
Nice one John I’m on seppi @ 12/1 & also on sela today who has started well 4-2 up in the first good luck
Big Mac, hopefully, I thought that would have been a harder match today for Seppi
Sela made harder work of that final set than it should have been, 4-1 up and two breaks up he had to survive 0-40 at 5-4
SELA wins 6-3 2-6 6-4
Both bets won today
SELA 13/10 won
No tiebreak 1/1 won
And SEPPI advised at 16/1 is through to the quarterfinals where he now plays Sela
johnb, good stuff with the tennis.
Thanks mr f

Coral were the only bookies that were 1/1 all the others were odds on 4/6 8/13 3/4
Good work – Coral have followed suit…
As expected karolina pliskova completed her match this morning

I have never seen Dudi Sela serve this well before,
Seppi only has one more chance to break him in the first set but can’t see it with Sela having figures of 100% first serve and 82% second serve
Am on Seppi set down should have listened to John b keep them coming John b still no fat lady singing yet lol
I have had an interest in Seppi at 10/3 but 5/2 now because I would be surprised if Sela could keep this level of tennis up
He is still 100% first serve
Seppi has finally broken sela
Game on now john
Yeah 3-1 final set need another break though
Seppi serving for the match & no tiebreak bet
Handicap bet down
Seppi wins 5-7 6-4 6-4
Seppi -3.5 games lost
No tiebreak 1/1 NAP won
Seppi into the semifinal
Top tipping John thanks
Are the Williams brothers playing in the doubles this year ?.
Be nice to see Venus get another title..
And I will scream if anyone else labels konta and bedene as British.
elvis, unfair comment. Konta moved to England at a young age and Bedene was pretty much invited to become a Brit to strengthen our Davis Cup side although that’s backfired.

Gilles Muller v Pablo Cuevas
1st set tiebreak Yes 7/4 bet365
Over 23.5 games 21/20 NAP betvictor
On these John cheers
http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/zwb3tyc
I thought the Muller Cuevas game would be close & it is,
The wrong set went to a tiebreak though with that coming in set 2
Set 1 was just one bad service game by Cuevas
The over 23.5 games has Won at 21/20 for a small profit but it’s 3/3 for winning Naps
Friday’s Tennis
Steve Johnson v Andreas Seppi
SEPPI 11/10 bet365
Already on Seppi for the tournament at 16/1 so wasn’t going to back him in this as I thought he would have been favourite
11/10 is too big to turn down
On seppi for the 2nd day running can see a tiebreak in this one
Disappointing day from yesterday with all bets falling short however I still remain in profit for the week

Mr f I have posted my tips but they are not showing when I tried to post again it is saying duplicate posting can you have a look please
Eastbourne
Dominika cibulkova 11/8
V
Karolina pliskova 4/7
Nottingham
Steve Johnson 1/2
V
Pablo cuevas. 13/8
I had a good look at both games and I can see two very close matches, I think cibulkova & cuevas are the value bets at 11/8 & 13/8 as both games for me are 50/50 games having said that I won’t be risking any bets on these markets.
If both matches are as close as I see them I expect both games to go to three sets and with that in mind my suggested bets are
Cibulkova v pliskova over 21.5 games 1 pt @ 5/6
Johnson v cuevas over 23.5 games 1 pt @ 1/1
1 pt double @ 2.56/1 good luck
One game short in the women’s game from landing all 3 bets so a small loss for the day
big mac, I’ll let admin know.
Thanks mr f, they are there now cheers
Poor day yesterday with Seppi no playing anywhere near his best tennis
Wimbledon bets coming shortly
Wimbledon women’s tournament 2016
Jelena Ostapenko 175/1
This bet might come as a surprise to people but Ostapenko has been flying under the radar for a while now,
The 19 year old Latvian is one of the best young tennis players about,
At Birmingham last week she lost in the quarterfinals to Madison Keys 6-7 6-4 6-2
This came after a cracking second round match where she beat Petra Kvitova 6-4 4-6 6-3
Away from grass she has recently beaten opponents like Kristina Mladenovic 6-3 6-1
Monica Puig 6-1 6-1
Daniela Hantuchova 6-1 6-1
Kristyna Pliskova 6-3 6-4
Timea Babos 7-6 2-6 6-3
As well as beating Petra Kvitova twice
Ostapenko turned pro in 2012 and has risen to 36 in the world,
When I watch her play I see a woman that is very at home on grass and it’s probably her favoured surface,
She was the Wimbledon Girls Champion in 2014
For an outsider she has in my opinion an outstanding chance of not only going far at Wimbledon but winning it,
She has said she loves grass but when you have a game like she does then you are going to love grass.
Ostapenko dictates play in her matches, this is a key component for grass
Her aggressive style of play and her power will frighten anyone she plays at Wimbledon
The attacks are relentless and when you see her forehand it’s frightening
At Edgbaston she showed off her skills on grass, she has a big serve she hits the ball deep and her accuracy of hitting the lines is exceptional.
Jelena Ostapenko when asked about playing at Wimbledon 2016
“I just want to try and go as far as I can, because if I play my best, I think I can do well there”
Her first round match is against Kiki Bertens with Ostapenko the 8/13 favourite
Jelena Ostapenko 175/1 skybet e/w
Florien Mayer v Dominic Thiem (Tuesday 11:30am)
The 32 year old German is ranked 80 in the world
On grass this year he is 9 wins 1 loss and a career 36 wins 18 losses,
He won the Halle tournament beating
Brian Baker 7-5 7-6
Kei Nishikori walkover
Andreas Seppi 7-6 6-3
Dominic Thiem 6-3 6-4
Alexander Zverev 6-2 5-7 6-3 final
Dominic Thiem is a 22 year old Austrian ranked 8 in the world who has had a good season but grass is by far his worst surface and his coach has admitted that the season is starting to take its toll on the Austrian
In 2014 Mayer reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon which is his best
He has a unique and creative style of play, his most favourite shot is his double-handed backhand slice, he likes and plays well his drop shots which are effective on grass, he also likes his chip and charge to finish the point, with his array of shots it makes him tricky to play against especially on grass against an opponent who dislikes the surface,
If players do get break points against Mayer then Mayer has a 60% stat for saving break points on grass,
He wins 73% of first serve points on grass & 52% of second serve points and has won 83% of his service games on grass although in Halle recently this was up to 90%+ in some games
With Thiem so bad on grass as he admits himself plus a hard season, I see Mayer as one of the main bets for the first round
FLORIAN MAYER 5/2 coral
More first round tips to follow
That’s a misprint, it should say Mayer got to Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2004
Not 2014
