THERE were some crazy results in the EPL at the weekend and some crazy incidents.
Who would have predicted Newcastle 5, Sunderland 1 and how many people were on Wolves to beat Man City. And what about the Nani goal? I wonder how many punters lived to rue that mad moment.
But that’s the beauty or frustration of football betting – nothing is guaranteed.
However, looking at tonight’s EPL encounter between Blackpool and West Brom you’ve got to imagine there will be goals goals goals. Both promoted sides have been involved in high scorers and they spend as much time defending as Wayne Rooney spends at the beauty parlour.
The two league games between them ended 3-2 to West Brom last season and both sides to score looks a fairly obvious bet at a best 4-6 with Stan James. If you want to take a bigger chance consider over 3.5 goals at 9-5 with Paddy Power and over 4.5 goals at 9-2 with Ladbrokes.
Blackpool’s home form has been a concern and I fancy West Brom to take their chance to move into the Champions League places with a victory, although they’ll miss top scorer Peter Odemwingie if he is ruled out.
West Brom have netted three goals in their last three meetings with the Seasiders and won six of their last seven. They are a biggest 6-4 with Totesport and Paddy Power while Blackpool are 21-10 at Chandler. Last week I tipped up Cardiff at minus one and minus two at Leeds.
It doesn’t look as clearcut with West Brom but if they defend well they could win by more than one. Minus one pays 10-3 with Bet365.
SUPER SINGLE
- Over 3.5 goals at Blackpool (9-5, Paddy Power)
