Portuguese big guns Benfica and Porto contest the Taça de Portugal final on Saturday evening. Kev Mac presents his best bet for the match as well a Goals Double in Serie A.
Benfica v FC Porto – Saturday 8.45pm
Benfica kept playing until the very last minute of the Portuguese league season to land my 22-5 double last week.
They netted a last-minute winner against Sporting that allowed my other side Braga to climb into third with a 2-1 defeat of champions Porto.
There was drama to the end and let's hope for more of the same when Portugal's top two sides meet in the Cup Final.
Porto finished five points clear of Benfica despite that final-day loss and won both league meetings – the latest a 3-2 success.
Three of the last four meetings between the sides have gone over 2.5 goals as have the past five cup finals.
So both to score and overs looks the call with the latter a bigger price at 11-10 with Betway.
Porto are a biggest 29-20 at bet365 to win in 90 minutes and 4-5 with bet365 and William Hill on the outrights.
However, I'm siding with Benfica who finished the campaign strongly with four wins and draw in their final five outings.
They are 19-10 with bet365 and BetVictor to triumph in 90 minutes and evens at Betway to lift the trophy.
If you're looking for a first scorer the ideal man is Benfica top scorer Pizzi who has netted 20 goals this season.
Serie A Tips
It's the final round of Serie A but there's only one issue at stake with Genoa or Lecce going down with Brescia and SPAL.
Lecce kept their hopes alives with a 2-1 win at Udinese and are one point behind a Genoa side hammered 5-0 at Sassuolo in midweek.
Only a win will be good enough for Lecce at home to Parma tomorrow as their goal difference is inferior to Genoa and more importantly they lose on the head to heads which is first call if the sides finish level on points.
Parma's last 12 have brought up both to score so ignore WDW and back that on a double with over 2.5 goals at Sassuolo v Udinese.
Sassuolo's last four have produced 18 goals and there should be plenty more on the final day.
Serie A's been great for strikes since the restart so look out for specials such as total goals and goals in every game in each half.
