WHAT would rather see – your team win or your bets go down?
It's a question I often ask myself and I'm sure many punters are in the same dilemma.
On Sunday I tipped Scotland not to win but was egging them on nevertheless and was delighted when Chris Martin netted a late winner to keep our World Cup qualifying hopes alive.
It was a much-improved display and fair play to Gordon Strachan, who took loads of stick after the Canada friendly, as he picked the right team and put on Martin at the right time.
As far as my main bets were concerned England as expected won to nil but Germany surprisingly conceded in Baku to down the Super Single. The Top Treble fell at the first hurdle.
Well done to anyone who won on Sunday and there were plenty of decent tips on the likes of Northern Ireland and Poland. And just a mention for Mr Orange who predicted Danny Blind would be sacked after the defeat in Bulgaria and that news has been confirmed.
I'd like to finish the month on a high but today could be a no-bet day. HullShaker will probably tip the Curzon v FC United National North League match and in Ireland it's Galway United v County Mayo in the League Cup and maybe someone will give us a steer on that one.
The Under-19 UEFA qualifiers continue and Scotland have been poor with no goals and two defeats in the Czech Republic. Ricky Sbragia's side finish against Hungary and are likely to face a third defeat.
So at the moment I don't have a bet but I'll monitor the thread and do some research in the morning.

CRAZY PRICE ALERT
You know they say the bookies don’t often get it wrong but sometimes when they do they get it really wrong and you must take advantage of the situation. I’m not talking about a mis-price, I’m talking about a bookie overpricing a player to score first or anytime. I’ve always stressed on the importance of checking the likes of oddschecker but tonight I almost choked on my coffee when checking some of the midweek games. I have two belters, absolute belters. I’ll give you one just now as I’ve already put the bet on myself online. Unfortunately I can’t give you the other one until tomorrow afternoon. Reason being is I have to place the bet in a shop as my account is restricted and I don’t want to risk the chance of the price being cut before then.
Ok there’s one game that sticks out to me and it may or may not surprise others. Holland vs Italy in a (not so) friendly match on Tuesday. Who had my tip of De Rossi on to score first and anytime? Guess what? I’m going for him again. This has always been a hostile fixture and there’s always the chance of a penalty and De Rossi as highlighted the other day is the main penalty taker. De Rossi also scores from open play so he’s not totally reliant on penalties to get on the score sheet. Now after he scored the first goal against Albania you would think that all bookies would take this into consideration when pricing up goalscorers. De Rossi is priced up at 10/1 for first goalscorer with the likes of Hills, Skybet and Coral however he’s a huge 31/1 with 888sport. To score anytime he’s only 7/2 with most yet he’s 15/1 with 888sport. This is just insane. There’s no guarantee he’ll score but I’m sure many of others would be happy enough to stake a few quid. I will post another bet tomorrow late morning/early afternoon.
Recommended Bets:
Holland vs Italy (Tue)
DANIEL DE ROSSI FIRST GOALSCORER @ 31/1
DANIEL DE ROSSI ANYTIME GOALSCORER @ 15/1
Both prices with 888sport.
Good luck if you decide to get on.
@chris guy Still no line in bet365 ?
Now 14/1 and 13/2 at 888sport
He’s 15.0 and 7.5 now, so I guess they noticed?
On it Chris. The odds have been slashed, but still got 10/1 and 4/1 anytime.
I followed your De Rossi tip against Albania which was a winner, fingers crossed for this one!
If De Rossi starts it’s a good price but generally Italy play weakened teams and don’t bother too much with friendlies.
Had to laugh at all these Scotland doom and gloom experts. Playing the 6 Celtic lads who have a winning mentality certainly improved the team. Armstrong and Tierney were outstanding. Scotland to win , 5/4 @ wm hill. £20 on. Won.
what a lot of bullsh**
only celtic playes have winning mentality !!!

PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year: 2013–14
PFA Scotland Team of the Year: 2013–14
He came on as a substitute in the second half, as Scotland won 1–0 in Warsaw.
Scotland manager Gordon Strachan said afterwards “Andy came on there and the first time he picked it up he drove about 30 yards. I thought ‘that’s fantastic’.
leigh griffiths 12 caps no goals
total current celtic players goals 4 [call off broon]
I can’t back Scotland with hard cash these days but was delighted with the win.
Strachan picked the team the fans have been asking for. It’s nothing to do with Celtic’s winning mentality though – this was a good all-round team performance and for me Andy Robertson was the best player on the pitch.
Morning all, your main man Max here just checking in. My followers and I were delighted with yet another of my NAP’s landing at evens and plenty were on Defoe to notch first at 3/1. I was delighted that my other big price tip landed as Ireland scored O1.5g at 19/10 :-)
I also mentioned to my followers that the Romania – Denmark game could go U1.5mg at attractive odds against as both sides lack that attacking, creative flair and so it proved with it ending in a dire 0-0 and both sides mustered a measly 2 shots on target in 90mins! I made it two out four on they day and plenty of profit and that is the main thing. Well done to any winners.
ivory coast v Senegal friendly
to be played in paris somewhere 7pm.
btts 11-8 (unibet)
Night Owl…
There’s a good few games that tempt on tonight’s SA card and I’ve narrowed my shortlist down to one that oozes potential value…
RIVER PLATE VS. BELGRANO (22.30 KO):
Prices just look way too big here when the full picture is taken into consideration – I can see a decent River Plate outfit going for it against 2nd bottom Belgrano and it could well be an open game with a few goals chucked in for good measure.
5 of the last 6 H2H’s have seen a minimum of 3 goals and with RP netting 6 times in their last 2 outings, I just can’t see it being a dull game as the home side look to close the gap and use their game in hand to leapfrog from a Copa Sud America place to a Copa Libertadores spot.
Three selections to consider:
RIVER PLATE OVER 1.5 TGS…5/6
????
***WON***
OVER 2.5 MGS…11/10
???
***WON***
OVER 3.5 MGS…11/4
?…1 short
?
Good luck!
@hullshaker brilliant..
Cheers hull I already had 1.5 river plate goals in an ACCA and all came up but took all these as singles too.
I was on the Tgs & overs Hull, thanks again mate ?
No worries lads ?
Ecuador u20 v Honduras u20
In play
Think we should see at least a couple of goals in this game looking at both teams records recently.
1.5 mgls only 1.53 at moment. Personally only interested when. If hits 1.80 (4/5)
Missed penalty. Still think time for a second
Won. Clearly the problem was Ecuador had too many players on the pitch. They wanted 10. Completely changed their game and won. The mind boggles
In play
Albany creek reserves
Over 3.5mgls 1.80
1-2 final score. Lost
Argentina – Primera Division – 11pm
Velez Sarsfield v Huracan

Ok guys I’m afraid the price has been cut for De Rossi. Hope some of you managed to get on. I have another bet for you. It’s a cracker and you’ll have to be fast on your keyboards for this one…..
Bet incoming……..
@philwindy hope you are well if u have a minute would appreciate your thoughts on danish 1st game between nykobing v vendyssel
Was thinking btts but odds short so maybe go for btts & overs
Now it’s time for Paddy Power to be smashed. This ones a bumper, not as big a price as De Rossi but in my opinion ore likely to score.
Brazil Vs Paraguay (Wed 01:45am)
Paulinho scored a hat trick for Brazil away to Uruguay a few days ago which nobody expected. Paddy Power have made a big mistake with this one. Paddy Power offer 12/1 for first goalscorer and 7/2 anytime. You could back him ew but it would just be like it that he’d score the 6th or 7th goal and you’d be kicking yourself. Also others may not want to back him as First Goalscorer as they’d expect the likes of Neymar to score first. Fact is he scored a hat trick against Uruguay and this cannot be ignored. If he can do that then he’s more than capable of scoring at home to Paraguay. Brazil are strong 1/6 favourites. Paulinho is 11/2 to score first elsewhere and only 6/4 to score anytime so the 7/2 about Anytime is not to be sniffed at. You may also want a dabble on him to score a double @ 22/1 or what about a repeat hat trick @ 100/1? Not out of the question, unlikely but if you’re going to back two then you’d be as well sticking a few quid on the hat trick. It’s obviously not just me that’s thinking Paulinho will score, here’s something i read on a preview of the game:
Brazil all but booked their place in Russia with an emphatic 4-1 win away to nearest rivals Uruguay on Thursday night. Former Spurs midfielder Paulinho was the unlikely hero with a hat-trick in the game. Given what he did last week, it could be worth having a flutter on Paulinho to score anytime. His goals per game ratio for Brazil is roughly 1 in 4 and with Casemiro in the side, he has real licence to get forward from midfield into advanced positions and is likely to be threat again here.
Recommended Bets:
Paulinho First Goalscorer @ 12/1
Paulinho 2 or more @ 22/1
Paulinho Hat Trick @ 100/1
All prices with Paddy Power
Good luck if you decide to get on. I must stress to place these bets asap as price will absolutely be cut in line with other bookies.
Sorry Paulinho anytime @ 7/2 also!! Don’t forget that’s the main Bet doh!

Listen mate. I never said that it was only the Celtic players that had a winning mentality , so calm your jets. And hitting me with all these stats doesn’t prove anything. Look up what the Celtic lads have achieved individually and as a team. Gee whizz take a chill pill mate
I think Strachan was right to start with the six Celtic lads – it helps the team’s in form and they know each other.
But you can’t compare club football to international football – the step up is what causes us a lot of problems.
No deny can deny Celtic have had it easy the last couple of seasons and as a neutral I reckon we need Rangers to be strong again and give them a challenge.
I’m quite happy with Rangers being dire mate lol.
You must be bored by now winning so easily.
I’d prefer to have a challenge.
Being a Celtic man I’d have to agree with you. The Celtic players did make a big difference to the squad. Best players on park in my opinion were Armstrong and Tierney. Played the same way they do whe they play with Celtic. I’m quite sure if they weren’t playing Scotland wouldn’t have gotten the result. Someone obviously doesn’t like you mentioning Celtic mate.
Paulinho cut already . Paddy Power realise they’ve been stung.
First was 12/1 now 11/2
Last was 12/1 now 11/2
Anytime was 7/2 now 7/5
2 or more was 22/1 now 13/2
Hat trick was 100/1 now 25/1
Not a chance in a million years he will score back to back hat tricks probably never score one again in his career even in China. Wouldn’t touch him at 7/5 anytime either would want at least 2/1
Paulinho prices were wrong for sure but I’d rather take anytime as there are so many Brazilians who can score.
That’s why I backed him anytime at 7/2. Great price. Don’t think it was an error though in the price, more of an overprice.
Yeah I agree – they just priced it wrong. Let’s hope he starts.
Surely after a hat trick
Just read that Italy are playing a young team against Holland including 18-year-old keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli and Daniele Rugani. Looks like Atalanta’s Andrea Petagna up top.
Don’t know if the changes rule out De Rossi but not many who started at the weekend will keep their places.
Afternoon gents,
Am I that predictable Mr F ?
As it is, I actually won’t be touching The ‘Nash’s game for a few reasons but mostly because I can see two similar outfits fighting out a bit of a stalemate as they have several times before in recent seasons.
Instead, I’ll be spending a few hours in Iceland and by that I don’t mean like Craneguy’s incident with the store detective last week…to be fair though, I thought it was a really innovative way to smuggle out a Giant Prawn Ring…
FYLKIR U19 VS. FRAM U19 (21.00 KO):
I’ve been largely leaving the Nordic games out until the season ‘proper’ begins but have to admit, I do like the look of this one!
The Icelandic Youth can be an inconsistent beast if backing WDW outcomes but it’s one stable factor is…GOALS!
Last time out there was 7 of them and they all went the way of Fram as they demolished Fylkir 7-0 back in December.
A look at both teams’ goals tallies will offer a nod as to why I’ve flagged this one and Fram’s recent games have been as follows: 2-3, 5-3, 5-5,2-1, 6-0, 7-0…that’s an average 6.5 goals per games in their last 6…crackers!
It may pay to monitor the game early doors and wait for the prices to rise but I reckon we’ll be in the goals fairly early on so will pick out this pre-match:
Goal Line 4.5…1.900
???
Best of luck!
Cheers, looked at the Curzon game and while stats suggests a home win I will leave it alone.
One that may be worth a look for any afternoon punters and this one comes from the Viareggio Youth Tournament…
EMPOLI U19 VS. CLUB BRUGGE U19 (15.30 KO):
In short, Brugges games have been rife with goals: 2-4-4-3-4 MGS so far in the tournament. Whilst Empoli’s have been less spectacullar, two of their 5 saw 3 and 6 MGS and both teams can certainly find the back of the net!
OVER 2.5 MGS…8/11

OVER 2.5 MGS + OVER 9 CORNERS…2.16/1

Red card has wasted this hull old son.
I’d have to agree Jim – missed penalty on ’26 then the red card on ’35…not best ?
Saying that…just another goal and 1 corner needed as we hit 5 minutes of injury time !
Professional Development League (under 23s)
The last time Bolton drew a blank at home was way back in February 2016 and have consequently found the target in their last 14 in their own back yard. They face Coventry who, likewise, last fired a blank away from home in February 2016, potting in their last 15 away outings.
Hull have conceded in their last 7 homes and scored in six of those.
Basement Boys Leeds have kept only two clean sheets in the last 12 at home but have struck in ten of those. Their opponents, QPR, are the second highest scorers in the lower half of the league.

@dc-john-boy
I have managed to scout some info. This is what I found…
Nykøbing have played the last two home games on a artificial pitch adjacent to their stadium. The pitch didn’t pass the grade.
The weather is much better over here now and the dry spell means this game well be played on grass with a proper attendance.
Nykøbing O1.5 team goals is my shout.

Does any of the regulars have any heeds up on the games later? I’ve checked the velez sarsfied-Huracán but I’d doesn’t look good for goals
Velez v Huracan 23.00
Over 9.5 asian corners 1.800
Well, 0-0 at H/T in Iceland and that first 45 went down like a turd in a salad bowl.
Still think there’s goals in this but probably not time for the 5 I need!
4/6 for Over 1.5 looks a great bet but I’ll not be on it for obvious reasons.
Well, the 2 goals came in but aside from those and a missed penalty, my Over 4.5 was well short and a poor pick – apologies to anyone on ?
Alvez what does Asian corners mean?
Have u researched it or betting blind cause I have money in my account for a change and I might follow
Only 3rd game after a break.
Velez home game was 10-2 on corners. And last time out at Newells, 2-6 on corners to Velez.
Huracan last 2 games finished 4-11 (Home game) and 7-9 away.
Reverse fixture this season finished 7-10 to Velez in September.
Over 14 corners is 7/1 worth a wee bet tae
Iv £67 in my ladbrokes account, i usually do goal bets but it doesn’t look great for goals. It’s live on ladbrokes, what would u advise Alves as corners is alien to me
Over 9.5 corners ‘should’come in, 4/5 a decent price looking at stats. Velez RT9 corners and 15+ for longshots
Can’t believe ladbrokes don’t have corners markets. Argghhhh
Corners in Bazza ?
