THERE'S home interest in the Eastbourne quarter-finals today but it's not British No.1 Heather Watson after she was sent packing by Sloane Stephens.
Watson was upstaged by compatriot Johanna Konta who followed up her career-best win by claiming another scalp, knocking out 14th seed Garbine Muguruza. The British No.2 now faces Belinda Bencic today and is 15-8 at Boylesports for a third shock in a row while the Swiss is 1-2 at Sportingbet.
Stephens takes on Daria Gavrlivoa, title favourite Caroline Wozniacki is up against Andrea Petkovic and Agnieszka Radwanska versus Tsvetana Pironkova completes the last-eight line-up.
At the ATP Nottingham, pick of the quarter-final tussles looks to be Sam Querrey against Gilles Simon and there's also the final day of Wimbledon qualifiers at Roehampton.
Elsewhere today is the likes of rugby league – Hull KR taking on Catalan Dragons – plus county cricket and Major League Baseball. As always post your tips and chat here and good luck if you're having a flutter.
Just a little NFL ante post to wet my whistle here

I also think bar any serious injuries in the pre season that the Packers spread in Chicago is one of the biggest gifts to start the NFL season with. The Packers were the highest scoring team in the NFL last season and didn’t lose one player in free agency on their offensive side. The Bears however struggled all season and are now under ex Broncos coach John Fox, a step up from Marc Trestman, but having to deal with a whole new defensive system and losing defensive lineman Ray McDonald in the off season, it’s likely going to be a tough opening game against Aaron Rodgers in Chicago where they’re used to the weather. The Bears do still have some talent on offense with Jay Cutler at QB, Alshon Jeffery, Matt Forte, Martellus Bennett and rookie WR Kevin White, but I’m not sure Cutler would have wanted to open the season against last years MVP Aaron Rodgers. A division game to open the season isn’t easy but one I feel the Packers should come out on top of by at least 1 touchdown. Spread currently at -4.5 and I can see that getting bigger as we get closer to the start of the season.
No stake on this yet but one to keep an eye on. Remember, I’m a Packers fan ;) Think the NFL crowd will agree with me on this one though.

On the NFL ante-post Jordan – where do you research NFL games?? Thanks!

* Chicago Sky HT/FT @ 4/5 **WON**
Mentioned at the start of the season to back against the dream on the spread and it has gone even better than expected so far , It is now 8 games played with 6 winning and 2 losing against the spread wich is good profit :), I’m not taking the spread on this one though I’ve bet the HT/FT instead of the – 7.5 on the sky as might be a bit to much to ask for and the reason why I’m posting and changing the spread to the double result for this game , the spread still is coverable of course but this is the safer option in my opinion
Good stuff again Picksix, have been on a few of the spreads against Atlanta Dream – is there any reason to change now or would you advise to keep backing against them?
Jordan near enough a certainty that one
Juan I would be a bit more wary of betting them mate atm they’re improving And they were losing by 15 going into the 4th and took it to overtime in the end so theres a sign they are coming together and there not the shambles they were at the start of the season
Jordan it’s definetely a steal on the packers spread I bet it a while back at -4 of course taking a gamble theres no injuries , but if all the teams healthy I can see that dropping to -6 , -7 come September . Would take a brave man to back the Bears although there offence should improve this season there’s no way they will outscore the Packers and hopefully cutlers useless again.
SKY now have the rights to MNF as well, any idea if the late night Sunday game is still with CH4? Also did i hear there will be more Saturday games or is that just when the Playoffs start?
Juan as far as I’m aware, the only changes is that Sky Sports will have MNF and there will be two games on Monday instead of one. Channel 4 should still get their Sunday night game.
I don’t care what channel they’re on as long as Jon Gruden is still commentating. Think he does TNF. Picksix you’ll appreciate this. Perhaps one of the best nailed on impressions ever haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ErWyhAQzc
Yeah I think as soon as it goes out to 5 I’ll put a stake down (Packers spread). Another spread I’m liking is the Jets, yes, the Jets, -3 at home to the Browns.
fancy simon and dolpogonov to win, dont wanna risk both in a double, who’s more likely @ tennis heads?
going to take the risk :)
dolpogonov
simon

A couple of notes for Wimbledon, at first I couldn’t see anyone other than Djokovic or Murrary but I think Djokovic may be carrying a slight injury that he’s not publicly announcing.
In regards to Wawrinka, I’m wondering if he could be a big threat. Between those 3 for me.
Haha he nails it
Another pick I like is the total in the Saints @ cardinals I think 47 points is set way to high will definetly be betting it to go under there
I’ve heard geno has been doing well in camp but not were I would be putting my money just yet gonna wait to see how they play first few games
Evening Guys, Hull KR v Catalan Dragons
It is Quarter final time in the Challenge Cup and first up it is the Robins taking on the Dragons at the KC Lightstream Stadium in East Hull, it is the home side who are the 8/13 favourites at Skybet.
Hull KR are coming into this match with a superb win over Warrington last week, but will be without their main man Terry Campese, however Shaun Lunt returns. The Dragons while on paper looked like they had an easy win over bottom club Wakefield last week, it was far from it. I watched the game and they raced in a 12-0 lead after 9 mins yet going into the final 15mins they were only 14-12 up before a late flurry of tries made the score look better than it actually was.
I fancy the Robins to win this one and book a spot in the semi finals. The Dragons will be without their main man too in Todd Carney and they have lost Thomas Bosc for this game. If Albert Kelly plays well then Hull KR should go well and I think the Dragons who struggle to defend their line out wide will get exposed by Hull’s backline. These two met here earlier in the season and the French side went 20-4 up before losing 50-20. Hull KR have also only lost twice at home this season and a performance like they put in against Wigan in the last round should see them home tonight. I am taking KR -4 on the handicap at 10/11 Boylesports.
In the try scorer market instead of taking one from each side, I am taking two from Hull KR. I have said the Dragons have struggled to defend out wide and the Robins winger Ken Sio ended a 3 match barren run a fortnight ago with a hat-trick against Widnes and scored again last week against Warrington. He as 14 in 17 this season including a hat-trick against tonight opponents in that comeback win. He is 1/1 Skybet.
Full back Kieron Dixon is having a monster season for the Robins always up supporting the play and as a former winger he as terrific speed, if he finds space. The Dragons in 3 of their last 5 away games have conceded to opposition full backs. Dixon as 12 in 14 he as scored in each of his last 5 games, which include 3 braces. He also scored against the Dragons this season and he too is 1/1 Skybet.
Sio and Dixon can be backed in anytime wincast at 2/1 or both to score anytime at 3/1 at Skybet and are worth considering.
HULL KR -4 TO BEAT CATALAN 10/11
SIO TO SCORE 1/1
DIXON TO SCORE 1/1
Good luck if your having a bet
Emunauel Mudiay now 1/2 to be 5th pick and lower , that’s looking good for me hopefully it’s from some leaked news

The Chief – looking another good tip Dixon try already in – fingers crossed for the rest!!
For the 2nd week running – All Hail the Chief
Respect mate top tipstering
The Chief – look forward to a Hull v Rhino’s tip tomorrow ;)
Haven’t tipped much this week, but it’s not been great. Still, Querrey is going well and @ 14/1 will turn it into a very good one if he goes all the way.
Jack- Stan definitely a threat.
On the Novak point- why do you think he might be injured?
Boxing (tomorow)
Total rounds
* Smith vs Rebrasse 6th round and over
Fielding vs Vera 9th round and over
Double @ 10/11
Add
Bradley vs Vargas
* Timothy Bradley by Decision / Tech Decision
Treble @ 15/8
* Rocky Fielding vs Brian Vera to go the distance @ 10/11
Both British fighters stepping up in class here maybe the toughest openents each fighter has fought so I’m expecting a few rounds in both fights , as for Bradley although I think he is declining he should win this one , Vargas is a simulair fighter both will be cautious and this has no chance of both fighters slugging it out so Im expecting a boring fight with Bradley winning on points
Picksix you gonna be watching the draft? Surely not as exciting as the NFL draft? My mate thinks there’s going to be a huge trade tonight. Boogie Cousins to the Lakers for their pick he thinks.
Ye I will be watching ,I’ve heard the same rumour mate check his Twitter out that last tweet surely means something
Its not as exciting for me mate as the NFL draft some might say different though ,Theres always the possibility of a blockbuster trade wich im hoping for
I’ve heard kevin love might be going celtics too turned down his option with Cavs , Boston will surely offer him more than what the Cavs will
Not long till Le Tour De France 2015!
Chris Froome is around 2/1, and for a three week race it is not good value.
I have gone for some long shots, and as I placed the bets last year, I have some good odds.
Thibalt Pinot, who has had some good results lately, @ 50/1.
Also Tejay Van Garderen, Andrew Talansky and Rigoberto Uran @ 50’s.
Finally Geraint Thomas @ 300/1.
After recent good results, Geraint is now 200/1.
Team leader Froome, just has to have a bad day, and Geraint could take over!
Peter, I know your cycling knowledge is superb so nice to see the tips put up.
