So that's eight winners from 10 this month and while the accumulators are also in profit I lost 1pt on the moneyback fivefold. Rosenborg were among the sides that beat me and on their performance over two legs against Dundalk they won't trouble Celtic next week.
Tonight the attention turns to the Europa League and I'll post a preview on Siroki v Aberdeen as the Dons travel to Bosnia needing to improve on a 1-1 draw in the first leg. I'm going here with both teams to score.
Elsewhere Cork put up a good fight against AEK Larnaca before losing 1-0 at home. You have to fancy the Cypriots to increase their lead at a best 7-10 with McBookie.

Seen your post on yesterday’s thread mate and just wanted to throw my thoughts on it again. You may or may not remember I posted this 6 months ago how I had decided to go about it. I’m not posting this to say look at me and blowing my own musical instrument like we do on the 12th over here lol. Anyway having the same thoughts as you a while back I decided to try and make it more “fun/enjoyable” to come up with a strategy which I would stick to for quite a while and see how it went. The strategy I went for will be copied below but I’m not saying you or everyone else should do the same but I feel it makes it more enjoyable. I ended up betting less than normal due to having the discipline and went from August to May having just over a 31pt profit. Still had losing runs and winning runs but knowing I was keeping to the strategy and thinking long term definitely helped. The main points I focused on were:
– Always stick to the staking plan I have copied below
– If I didnt have time to look at the games for the day or the next day then I didnt bet (nothing worse losing a bet you never actually really looked at well enough)
– Once your selections have won or lost for the day that’s it. You didn’t bet on the game or games coming up for a reason earlier in the day or the night before so why suddenly start betting on it. Use the time to look ahead.
Anyway hope this helps even a little bit to try and have a bit of the plan for the new season starting. My plan helped me be profitable (no guarantee that will continue) but being honest I am quietly confident it may do. The main thing is the it’s made it more enjoyable. A lot of people have to bet on the next game and loads of games per day week but you are guaranteed to lose in my opinion. Oh and finally I haven’t placed an acca in yonks well the occasional one for loose change but certainly not “serious money” and have to say I’m quite please with myself for resisting the urge not to now. OK it’s late and dreamland is calling here’s the post below.

It is very tempting to do so but the way I see it I will have most likely considered most games already and haven’t gone with them for a reason initially so going against that and suddenly backing it just cause it’s kicking off in 10 minutes or it’s on TV wouldn’t help in the long run. As I say this is just how I have been backing them and will continue to do so to see how I get on. This is also how Johnb backs his horses on a daily basis obviously much different (higher) odds but I felt with this market always being around EVENS or often above the staking plan might help. I’m looking to do some football ante post bets using my weekly fiver from SkyBet but just looking to see if there are any thoughts out there particularly for the Scottish and English lower leagues which I admit I’m not too hot on.
I know there are tips a bit closer to time by Mr F, Jordan, Scott Browning and all but just seeing if there are any thoughts here and now from the rest of the site particularly those supporting clubs from the lower leagues. Reading for a top 6 Championship place at 3/1 looks good for me for example.
In short I usually place a few 8-10 team accumulators pre-season which include league winners, promotion places and top 6/top 7 places and sometimes top scorers and relegation. This site was a great help last year and I’m sure will be again.
I’ll post my current picks a bit later if I get time, thanks for reading this all and thanks for all contributors to this fantastic site,
