Owen writes: Happy New Year to all readers of this column. I ended 2015 a lot better than the way I started it as I couldn't pick a winner at the beginning of the year.
Hopefully I can get 2016 off to a winning start and I'm beginning in the West Region and taking a side who have hit a bit of form recently and are now live promotion contenders and that's Kilwinning who are evens at Kilsyth.
Next up I'm taking Kilbirnie who are also evens at Shettleston. Kilbirnie have had good results this season against the Glasgow men and moved into the title race with last week's superb win at Auchinleck – one of only two games that were scheduled. I expect more of the same this weekend.
Finally to complete my treble I'm taking Blantyre at 7-5 at home to Ardrossan. Vics are now under new management and I reckon they can get off to a good start with three points.

Paul writes: The juniors are back after the festive break but with the atrocious weather around the country we will do well to pick a game that is on.
In the West I am backing Glenafton to beat Irvine Meadow at 21-20. Meadow are in a rare relegation fight this season with only one win in the league and I don’t think new manager David Greig will have had enough time to make any real impact this weekend.
Over in the East I am backing Edinburgh Utd to beat Forfar West End at 4-6. Callum Elliot has done an amazing job turning things around at the capital side and although just one place separates the two teams in the league I am confident of a home win. The only fear is Forfar West End are a well-organised team and can be difficult to break down.
I am sticking to the East and backing Downfield to beat Scone at 4-9. The Spiders are still top of the league but have played more games than their rivals and their title bid is under serious pressure. However, they are the league’s top scorers and should have more than enough firepower to pick up the three points.
