IT'S all about titles on Tuesday for two clubs who will renew their Old Firm rivalry next Sunday and all next season.
After missing out on clinching promotion by seconds at the weekend Rangers will clinch the Championship title tonight to ease the pain of such a near miss.
And Celtic can just about seal the deal themselves as they travel to Dundee in the Premiership aiming to storm seven points clear of Aberdeen. Do that and it's all over because I can't the champions losing three of their last six as they would have to do.
I tipped St Mirren to hold Hibs at the weekend to give Gers the chance to be dancing in the streets of Raith – but a leaky defence caved in as Rovers earned a 3-3 draw.
That's nine goals conceded by Mark Warburton's side in three games and the boss will be relieved Tuesday's visitors are shot-shy Dumbarton (one goal in three games) – and not Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
Rangers are no bigger than 1-7 at Ladbrokes to sink the Sons. Rangers will be out to clinch promotion in style in front of a packed Ibrox so consider them to win covering the -2 handicap at 1-1 with Betfred.
They've faced Dumbarton eight times over the past two seasons and won all eight, scoring 25 goals – including 10 in the last two meetings. But Gers to score 3+ pays no more than 4-6 at Ladbrokes while 4+ is 33-20.
Seven of the eight clashes have gone over 2.5 goals but again it's short so risk over 3.5 at 1-1 with McBookie. Dumbarton will fancy their chances of scoring and are 13-10 to do so – they've netted in two of three visits to Ibrox.
If you're looking for a scorer what about Harry Forrester who has netted five in his last seven outings. He is 5-4 at Betfred.
Celtic are no bigger than 2-5 at McBookie at Dens and will be confident against a side they've conceded one goal to in five outings.
Paul Hartley's men have been scoring for fun against teams not part of the Old Firm – they also lost 4-0 at Rangers in the Cup – but after a 5-2 rout over Ross County on Saturday I'm risking over 3.5 goals at 13-8 with William Hill.
Strikers Kane Hemmings, Greg Stewart and Rory Loy were all on target against County so maybe this time they'll go into a match against with a bit of confidence.
Celtic scored three against Hearts at the weekend and but for some great goalkeeping this one could have been something like 5-3. On-loan Man City midfielder Patrick Roberts netted a neat double and is likely to keep his place. He looks a player and is 7-4 at Betfred to score again.
Top scorer Leigh Griffiths was denied at least four times by brilliant Neil Alexander stops and is only 1-2 at McBookie to net against his former side.
Dundee United are making a real fist of trying to avoid the drop and Saturday's 1-0 win at St Johnstone closed them to within five points of second-bottom Kilmarnock.
United's game in hand is tonight at Partick Thistle and of course they'll play Killie after the split so it's in their own hands to complete a miraculous escape.
The Jags drew 0-0 at home to Killie at the weekend and United will be looking to at least match that result. A United win pays 12-5 at Betfred but I'm looking at United draw no bet at 13-10 with Stan James.
Inverness v Hearts has been postponed due to a sickness bug hitting the Tynecastle club so that leaves Hibs v Livingston in the Championship.
Hibs ended a run of four league defeats in a row with that point in Paisley but need to get back to winning ways to have a chance of nicking runners-up spot from Falkirk and avoiding an extra two-legged play-off against Raith
It's an intruiging game because Livi are fighting with Dumbarton to avoid second bottom after Alloa were relegated on Saturday. They beat Falkirk away two weeks ago and played well so and at 9-1 with McBookie and William Hill will have some backers.
But I'm keeping with Hibs but a best 1-3 with William Hill is too short for me to back so it's a no-bet game.
Bets to Consider
Rangers -2
Rangers to score 3+
Forrester to score
Dundee v Celtic over 3.5 goals
Roberts to score
