THE PHRASE Super Sunday is an over-used expression. Sometimes it's just an ordinary Sunday but you never hear that tag.

But today really is Super Sunday with Man United facing up to fierce rivals Liverpool while Chelsea and Man City are also in action.

The big one takes place at Old Trafford and after being criticised for fielding a weakened team and drawing at home to Rangers in the Champions League Fergie will roll out the big guns for this one.

Dimitar Berbatov will definitely start and there are likely to be returns for Edwin van der Sar, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Paul Scholes although Antonio Valencia is out after breaking his leg against the Scots.

Wayne Rooney was one of the few first-choice picks to make the Champions League tie and is evens to score with Ladbrokes who make the England ace 25-1 to bag a treble and 12-1 to be sent off. Michael Owen is 7-4 with Ladbrokes to score at any time against his former club but will be a sub at best.

Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard return to Liverpool's starting line-up. The pair were left out of the Europa League victory over Steaua Bucharest as boss Roy Hodgson made eight changes.

Joe Cole will play only his second league match of the season but is unlikely to be on the winning side with United looking good value at a best 8-11 with the likes of Paddy Power and Ladbrokes.

Liverpool are a massive 9-2 at Hills and bet365 and although it will tempt some I'm sticking with a narrow home win.

For first scorer you've go to consider Berbatov who has looked interested this season and is 11-2 with Skybet and Chandler to score first. Rooney is 4-1 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power.

For a bigger gamble consider Scholes at a best 18-1 with betfred to break the deadlock.

Irish bookies Paddy Power have a laugh with this special. How many times will Wayne stray offside again? None is 5-6 favourite with one 15-8 and twice or more the housewives' choice at 7-2.

Torres is still out of sorts but 7-1 with the likes of totesport  to bag the opener while Gerrard is 11-1 at bet365.

Two sides in Champions League places meet at Stamford Bridge, Blackpool are the visitors and have won two of their opening four matches.

Another is virtually impossible against the champions even though Frank Lampard has not recovered from hernia surgery.

Didier Drogba, who was suspended for the Champions League game against MSK Zilina in midweek, returns to the squad and should be considered at 12-5 with bet365 for the first goal.

With all due respect to Blackpool this is about how many Chelsea, who are a best 1-9 at Stan James, will score and it should be plenty.

Paddy Power offer 12-1 on six, 18-1 on seven and 33-1 for eight or more. A repeat of Chelsea's 9-0 win against Wigan last season pays 80-1. Drogba is just 5-1 with the Irish firm to score a hat-trick with Nicolas Anelka 8-1.

Wigan have made massive strides in recent weeks and will hope to stun star-studded Man City.

Blues boss Roberto Mancini is sweating on the fitness of striker Emmanuel Adebayor who missed the Europa League win in Salzburg after picking up a dead leg but James Milner and Adam Johnson could earn recalls.

That 2-0 win was impressive and if they perform like that City will win well. They are a best
5-6 with Stan James.

Celtic haven't conceded a goal in the SPL this season and that record will be put to the test at Kilmarnock.

It's only a matter of time before someone beats keeper Fraser Forster and on-form Killie could be first to do it.

I reckon Celtic, a best 4-9 with betfred and Stan James, will take the points but both teams to score at 10-11 with Hills is worth a look.

Killie are a biggest 7-1 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power and their impressive Finnish striker Alexei Eremenko is 20-1 bet365 to net first and 6-1 at bet365 to score at any time.
