ABERDEEN head for Hamilton tonight on a high – so let's hope they don't suffer a low.

Teams often have a bad reaction to a big result and Derek McInnes must lift his men three days after reaching the Betfred Cup Final.

The Dons weren't at their fluent best as they scraped past Championship outfit Morton 2-0 but got the job done and so often in recent seasons they've failed when it mattered most.

For a midweek away trip on a plastic pitch Aberdeen are short at 8-15 with William Hill. That reflects the fact they've won six in a row and while I believe they'll pick up the points I can't be having that price although I'm sure they'll feature on loads of accumulators.

Aberdeen have won on one of their last four visits to New Douglas and three of the previous five have finished 1-1. Anyone who likes trends can have that at 15-2 with McBookie.
