JORDAN enjoyed a profitable night on the Thursday NFL match and is now turning his attention to the Sunday card where he has picked out another tip.
He says: “Haven’t posted this weeks write ups yet but will in good time. Eric Decker has been ruled out with Quincy Enunwa also added to today’s injury report. That’ll leave the Jets with a less than healthy Brandon Marshall in a injury riddled receiving corp that is going to have to step up against the Steelers on Sunday.
“The Jets are giving up some of the biggest passing plays in the NFL this season, and with Revis doubtful and Skrine questionable, Big Ben should have another solid game. I have a prop that I’m waiting on but think the Steelers are a great bet this weekend to add to the return of TB12 in Cleveland.”
There's plenty more sporting highlights today so as usual feel free to post all your tips and chat.

Early post for the college games notra dame m/l 23/20 betfred and Texas A&M -7 good luck everyone
Purely for interest for tonight’s college game as I will be having the Clemson game on in the background;
Clemson -10
Boise State -10
Tulsa -6.5
Playing it relatively safe as all 3 underdogs have the ability to cover their respective handicap here. Clemson, coming off arguably their biggest game of the season, I have doubts about how they may play again a weak opponent of a short week.
Boise should be aiming for revenge after last season’s upset loss to New Mexico, and given what New Mexico did to my acca last week, I do hope Boise State give them a right thumping!
SMU with a freshman QB throwing a ton of picks, should hopefully be able to cover this alternative handicap relatively easily.
Again, I bet with small stakes, and this is purely for interest.
Best of luck to any who follows.
Apologies, the treble pays around 1.1/1 with Bet365*
Mitre 10 Cup Overnight Bonanza
Southland v Northland (2.35 am)
Battle of the basement wih one win each. Northland haven’t won away in over 2 years. Southland had a decent result at home against Bay of Plenty last time out. Southland narrowly won last two h2h at home.
Southland ML 1.95 @Bet365

Otago v Counties Manukau (5.35 am)
Although CM are in the league above and mid table, fancy Otago to win. They have a strong record at home and beat a higher ranked team recently.

Sammie Coates (Pittsburgh Steelers) Over 42.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power – 4.8 points
Can’t quite fathom this one. Coates is having a break out year in the absence of Martavis Bryant. He’s averaging 70.5 yards per game and has caught a pass of 41 yards or more in every game so far this season. He’s now coming up against a secondary yielding a league high 9.7 yards per attempt, with Revis doubtful and Skrine questionable. He is their go to deep threat and I wouldn’t be surprised if Big Ben tests out the secondary a few times, just like he did against KC.
At first I was going to wait for Big Ben’s longest pass completion, but with Coates’ total so low. I can’t pass on it. This could land from one reception.

Duke Johnson (Cleveland Browns) Over 50.5 Rush and Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ 365 – 2.4 points
The return of Tom Brady is obviously one that will be watched this weekend, and I for one think they will easily dispose of Cleveland (The organisation that thought Bill Belichick wasn’t a good enough coach. D’oh!). Crowell has been running the ball well for Cleveland but they’ll need a big effort in the pass game this week as they’ll likely be trailing early and by a lot if Brady and Belichick are to unleash revege at the NFL. Johnson has averaged 78.5 yards from scrimmage the past two weeks with third-string QB Cody Kessler. Kessler will start again this week and Johnson will get plenty of looks from the rookie.
Couple more to come but will wait for other totals.
Racing Metro v Stade Francais (1.45pm)
Racing have just gone through a steroid related debacle and have been out of sorts. Stade have picked up bonus points on the road so 11+ points spread looks like a good bet. Stade win also has value.

No luck last night with Tulsa’s slow start costing us the treble. With the number of games taking place today, it is all about picking out the right lines in the right games. I am hoping I have done the right thing by keeping the lines to within one score in the following games;
Washington @Oregon – Washington -6.5
Oklahoma @Texas – Oklahoma -6.5
Houston @Navy – Houston -6.5
‘Bama @Arkansaw – ‘Bama -6.5
Washington was dominant against a very good Stanford side last week whilst Oregon looks like they are still trying to get into gear 6 weeks into their season.
Based on what I have seen from Texas last week, I will bet on anyone to win against them. I reckon Baker Mayfield is going to have a monster game both with his arm and his feet.
Houston is a relatively straight forward pick with coach Tom Herman and his high-octane offense doing the business.
This Bama game could be a potential banana skin, but I am backing America’s most dominant college team to get it done against an Arkansas team that has not lived up to their lofty billings so far this season.
Other noteworthy picks include;
Virgina Tech @North Carolina – North Carolina ML (home field and the better QB to get it done against a good VT side)
Florida State @Miami – Miami ML (With much bigger thingsto worry about in Florida, this game will serve as a relief to most, for the first time in years, Miami comes into this game as favorite and I am backing Brad Kaya to get it done against the ‘Noles side coming off a heartbreaking lost against North Carolina last week)
Nice to see some good stuff of the NCAA mate. Only interest I have really is seeing Lamar Jackson’s progress. Not sure if you saw but I posted him at 11/10 on here for the Heisman, now 8/15 even after the loss at Clemson last week which he still played sensationally and very nearly brought them back.
Steve Smith (Baltimore Ravens) Over 5.5 Receptions @ 5/6 @ PP – 3 points
The veteran started off slow with limited snaps in the first few games coming off his injury from last season (which he was supposed to retire when the season was over) but has come back very strong over the past couple of weeks and at 37, still looks to be Joe Flacco’s main man this year. Over the past two games he has seen 11 targets and hauled in 8 in each. Some would think its a bad match up this week against the Redskins with Josh Norman in the secondary, but hold on. Just like Larry Fitz is being used for Arizona in his old age, Smith is being lined up in the slot for 37% of plays so should find more than enough opportunities for Flacco to aim at him.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Jordy Nelson (Green Bay Packers) Anytime TD @ 11/10 @ PP/Coral – 2.5 points
Jordy owns a 28% of the Packers passing targets and leads the NFL in redzone looks. He has a TD in every game so far this season and that should continue. The Giants are beat up in the secondary and Nelson should get open through the night and will clearly be the first read for Rodgers in the redzone. Think Richard Rodgers holds value @ 5/2 too but I’ll stick with Nelson. The sure handed Tight End will be back as the main Tight End after Cook’s injury will see him miss a month or two. Rodgers favoured Rich-Rodgers a lot last season by the goal line and could be the second look after Nelson. Nelsons receptions are 5.5 at PP which is reachable to go over, but I prefer the TD as you only need one in the right place.
Waiting on Odell Beckham’s yards line but I think this will be his breakout game of 2016. He’s received a lot of heat recently (and rightly so) for his childlike actions on the sidelines, but will get a bit of confidence coming to Lambeau knowing that Sam Shields is out, and his replacement Damarious Randall has been torched in the Packers last two games. I think the Packers win it but Odell will have his say as long as Eli can get the ball to him fairly quickly. Receptions at 6.5 @ EVS with PP again could be set to go over, but I’m hoping we get a line of around 80 or lower (PP currently at 84.5 but I think there could be a lower one by kick off). If worst comes to worst, 365 will likely give a longest pass completion for Eli or longest pass reception for Beckham as its the Sunday night game, which might be a better option.
Few props this weekend again but that’s the trouble when you think you can find value which is everywhere in the NFL.
England -3goals and Warrington to lift cup pays 11/8 hills ..1 point pays 5/2 if you fancy England -4 goals gl all
Props on the horizon. Only leans for now.
Robert Woods (Buffalo Bills) Over 59.5 Receiving Yards/Over 5 Receptions @ 5/6 @ PP
Martellus Bennett (New England Patriots) Anytime TD @ 12/5 @ PP
Jerick McKinnon (Minnesota Vikings) Over 70.5 Rushing Yards @ 5/6 @ PP

Charnley anytime scorer 6/4

Man of match – matty Smith 12/1
So much has been made of matty Smith leaving this year has had a lot of criticism and quite rightly cos he has been s**t and his kicking game seems to have disappeared since Paul deacon left the club as coach. That being said he has stepped up in big games before like his mvp performance in the England v nz game last year. No one kicks more drop goals than matty Smith so my final bet will be on a drop goal to be scored at 2/1
Charnley anytime 6/4
Gelling anytime 5/2
Matty Smith man of match 12/1
Drop goal in match 2/1

Argentina v Australia (7.30 pm)
This game is being played at Twickenham which I think plays into the Aussies hands. They have a good record their against England and off the back of the World Cup will feel its a home from home. They will also have a larger support, although any English fans will be supporting Argentina surely.
Argentina are missing three key players including Sanchez, their main man at flyhalf and kicker. This may see them score less points than usual. The Aussies need a win to get them back on track and they wll see this as a golden opportunity.
