BRITAIN'S Davis Cup title defence looks doomed to semi-final failure after they crashed 2-0 to Argentina on day one in Glasgow.
Defeats for Andy Murray and Kyle Edmund have left the Brits starting down the barrel and their fate will be sealed if they lose today's doubles rubber.
The Murray brothers are scheduled to team up in the doubles – fitness permitting for Andy who looked dead on his feet after yesterday's five-hour epic – and they are 3-10 at bwin to get the win needed to keep the tie alive while Argie pair Federico Delbonis and Leo Mayer are 29-10 at Unibet.
On the boxing front, Britain's unbeaten WBO middleweight world champ Liam Smith is 35-4 at 10bet when he puts his belt on the line against the impressive Saul Canelo Alverez in Texas, the huge favourite at 1-8 with Paddy Power.

France are now favourites after day one finished level at 1-1, France are hot favourites for Saturday’s doubles by being able to call on the Worlds top doubles players Mahut & Herbert,
A win would leave France needing just one of Sunday’s single matches.
Friday’s other two points were on FC Liefering to win at 1/1 and to score over 2.5 goals,
FC Liefering won 3-2 and although their third goal was lucky they deserved to score three.

Saturdays best football bet looks to be Scunthorpe who are one team who are scoring goals for fun and it should continue against one of the worst defences in the league, the safe option is over 1.5 goals at 1/1 but Scunthorpe could quite easily score more.
