WEEK one of the NFL season rounds off in the early hours of Tuesday morning with the final two games, including the newly relocated Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams are based in LA for the first time since 1994 after spending the last 22 years in St Louis and they hope the change of scene will help them halt a run of nine straight losing seasons.

The Rams open their campaign up the California coast at San Francisco and are 10-13 at Marathonbet to start with a win while the 49ers are 24-19 underdogs at 188bet.

The other match sees title contenders Pittsburgh Steelers chalked up as 13-16 favourites by Marathonbet for their trip to Washington Redskins (5-4, Stan James).

Another good day in the NFL. Only loser was Odell’s yards who ended up with 73 of the 76 needed.

Oakland Raiders 21 or more points
New York Giants 19 or more points

    43/50 @ Skybet – 5 points **WIN**

Eddie Lacy (Green Bay Packers) Over 60.5 Rushing Yards @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power – 3.6 points **WIN**

Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Over 70.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ Paddy Power – 2.4 points **WIN**

Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles) Over 47.5 Receiving Yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet – 2.2 points **WIN**

Odell Beckham (New York Giants) Over 75.5 Receiving Yards @ 11/13 @ Bwin – 5.2 points **LOSE**

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be without plenty of weapons to open their season, but fortunate they probably have the best weapon available. Antonio Brown should get a heavy dosage of the ball even though he’ll have Josh Norman following him all over the field after his big money move to Washington from Carolina. Norman is a very good corner but he won’t keep AB quiet all night. Ladbrokes have Brown Over 7.5 Receptions @ 17/20, but I’m siding with the yards @ PP.

Pittsburgh struggled in the secondary last season and could again this season with Senquez Golson missing up to 12 weeks. He is yet to make an appearance since his second round picking in 2015. Kirk Cousins doesn’t wow me as a QB but he can still get the job done against bad defenses. With targets like Reed, Jackson, Garcon, Crowder and Josh Doctson who was drafted earlier this year, it could be a shootout, and his 274.5 passing yards @ 5/6 @ PP could be worth a shot.

Antonio Brown (Pittsburgh Steelers) Over 88.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ PP – 2.4 points

Jordan Reed (Washington Redskins) Anytime TD @ 23/20 @ BV – 2 points

I can’t find it at the moment but the Brown/Reed TD Double could be worth a point. Skybet usually do it but it’s not there right now.

Feel like the digs at Rodgers are a bit unneeded. The guy threw two hail mary’s last year.

Opinions on QB’s are so subjective, people have slated Brady , Wilson and Manning too. Rodgers was playing with an unfit Lacy and no Nelson last year. Not easy.

For me the Packers go to the Superbowl this year. It’s their time. Regardless it should be a good season

Packers are nowhere near a Super Bowl team, Jacksonville were actually the better team yesterday with more positives to come out the game than Green Bay, Lacy was kept pretty quiet by Jax and GB will rely too much on Jordy staying fit and when it comes down to the playoffs again Rogers will fold again

When people are asked to describe Rogers in one word the most common answer was “Meticulous”
Meticulous means careful, detailed, perfectionist, accurate, which are good but you also need to take more chances because that’s what wins the big games and Rogers usually comes up short in the big games

My comment was pretty clear yesterday but people just don’t read comments properly,
My comment says he doesn’t lead a team, he doesn’t drag teammates up by the scruff of the neck and lift them over the finishing line, he doesn’t bring spirit to the team, a quarterback needs to do these things it’s their job and last year he just looked like a lost sheep.
I speak to fans, I listen to their concerns and GB fans are seriously concerned about Rogers

    Final word
Quarterbacks and Coaches are judged on Championships
Rogers one championship in eight years says it all

Packers might not win the Super Bowl but they’ve got a better chance than the Jacksonville Jaguars, John. Come on…

You gave Rodgers stats from last season yesterday, his worst season in his career, without Nelson, or a decent run game. Add an athletic Tight End like cook and the Packers are easily a Super Bowl favourite. The fact they are priced up as the favourites too and were before yesterdays games makes it pretty clear. Like I said, each to their own but in my opinion he is easily in the top three QB’s in the league with maybe only Brady topping him.

@jordan superb tipping last night, mate. This is the first season I’ve delved into NFL betting and I’m not regretting it.

I’ve only just seen your Antonio Brown tip so the best I can get is over 95.5. Would you advise just to leave it?

  14. Avatar of Jack Fenning
    jackcfc 8 years ago

Not sure how to call the games tonight, for me the best value is at William Hill:

Antonio Brown over 95.5 receiving yards, to score a TD and Steelers to win @ 9/2

Jordan has already spoken about Antonio Brown, for me if the Steelers are going to win he will for sure score a TD so we will see how it goes.

Antonio Browns yards are long gone at PP which I said would go to triple figures, so instead I’m going to post another bet which I think is decent. With the receiving core slim, the Steelers will give Eli Rogers some work in the slot. Sammie Coates will also get work, but Rogers has a low total and should be targeted a fair bit with focus likely to be on Brown.

    Eli Rogers (Pittsburgh Steelers) Over 34.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ 365 – 2.4 points

What has long term profits got to do with your opinion on a QB? Not blowing my own horn but I’ve profited most months for all to see on this site for the last couple of years, but that has nothing to do with my opinion on overrated QB’s? Complete nonsense.

Hills have put up an enhanced price treble on Antonio Brown.

They go 9/2 for over 95.5 receiving yards, to score a TD and Steelers win.

    Have thrown £15 for interest.

Evening guys nice to see everyone is getting along ?
Firstly well done Jordan. Max and anyone else with winners last night. I didn’t have a great day though @jordan I blame your packs for ruining my 2.5/1 and 9/1 acca both let down by half a point on the Packers game. That was hard to take. The anytime scorers were hit n miss only saving grace was the late night double coming up. What grates is out of the 10 teams I backed on only 2 teams didn’t cover the handicap yet I was down. Lots to be said for singles I guess. Anyway on to tonight’s games and am not sure bout the rams v 49ers mainly cos the 49ers doing the vikes this time last year plays on my mind though the rams don’t have the travelling to do that vikes did so should prevail.
My bet for this evening is going to be on Washington +2.5 it grates that the +3 has gone now but I’ll still take the home team with the start. Got to have a look at deshawn Jackson too as its contract year for him so he needs tp put up if he wants a retirement contract. For big price am taking Jackson first to

    Washington +2.5 10,000 pts
DE Shawn Jackson anytime scorer 6/5 20,000 points
DE Shawn Jackson first td 10/1 300,000,000 points
Each point for me is worth 0.000001p good luck
