THE waiting is almost over – the new NFL season gets under way in a couple of days and promises to be a cracker.
Jordan has posted his first bet for the weekend's opening action and will add some prop bets in the coming days.
Before that it's US Open tennis still on centre stage and today's quarter-finals see Andy Murray do battle with Kei Nishikori while Juan Martin Del Potro and Stan Wawrinka go head to head.
There's also the likes of cycling and baseball on the sporting schedule so as usual post your tips and chat below.

NFL Week 1 – Bet 2 – Friday – 1:30AM
Virgil Green (Denver Broncos) Over 25.5 Receiving Yards @ 10/11 @ Skybet – 3.3 points
The 28 year old has been given 1st TE spot on the depth chart this season. By no means been productive in Denver but he’s never had the number one job either. He did however have his best season last year with 12 receptions from 15 targets, averaging 14.4 yards per reception. Denver will be starting Trevor Siemian at QB who’s only snap in the NFL has been a kneel. As much as they think he’s the man for the job, he’s still likely to struggle against Carolinas mean defence at times, and when there’s danger, who better to go to than your big TE which often favour in an inexperienced QB’s plan. Carolina are being given the nod and with Siemian at QB that is likely, but it’ll still be tough to open up your season at the Mile High.
I’d also like to point out that if you’re betting on props this year then always make sure you use oddschecker. Many bookies post very different totals for passing/rushing/receiving yards which you can notice here on Jonathan Stewart’s rush yards. http://www.oddschecker.com/american-football/nfl/carolina-panthers-at-denver-broncos/total-rushing-yds-jonathan-stewart. A 10 yard difference between 365 and Paddy Power which is massive when betting. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’ve lost a couple of bets that have lost by a yard, so every yard counts. I do like Stewart’s yards @ 365 and 54.5 seems reasonable despite his low total in the Super Bowl. Don’t let those stats fool you though as Carolina were trailing in the second half and weren’t looking to run the clock down with the run game. Also add to the fact that Von Miller earned most of his six year – 114.5 million dollar contract this off-season the last time these two faced, so they’ll be looking to get the run game going 1) To keep Miller away from Cam, and 2) Broncos bring the blitz more than most teams in the NFL, so the run game would help. If winning they will probably chew the clock late on too. It doesn’t always go to plan but that’s my theory.
Been looking forward to this for awhile Jordan, will be on it as always :D
